Thanks for covering our strike which was forced upon us by government of India not honouring our bipartite and joint noted dated 08/03/24 on implementation of all saturday off for which we are waiting for last 11 years .in fact government employees got it 40 years back for their better efficiency and work life balance but the same denied to us though we are really stressed .other sectors of financial world in India app ready have 5 days banking but over burdened bankers are denied this for the reasons best known to government of India.
Bank strike for work life balance on 27 January seems successful. United Forum of Bank Unions called it — demand 5-day week for banks.
Last such strike brought industry to halt on Dec 15-16, 2021 on different issues of wage settlement, 5 day banking & outsourcing of bank work.
BOM NOBO unit has written letter to @FinMinIndia regarding relaxation in Perquisite tax on leased accomodations and loans.
Other unions too should raise this valid demand.
Well done @OfficialBOMOO 🙏👏
Today UFBU served strike notice to IBA and DFS .

#UFBU’s new blockbuster: Tariq pe Tariq Season 2025!
Now the CLC meeting moved from Oct 15 to Nov 4.
These #Dalal#UFBU leaders have mastered the art of delay.
They’re even scared to write Five Days Banking, hiding behind FDB! Because in their dictionary,
FDB = Fooling Desperate Bankers.
Bas meeting karte raho, result zero!

Tragic News from Baramati, Maharashtra
Shivshankar Mitra, Senior Manager at Bank of Baroda (Bhigwan Road branch), died by suicide inside the branch premises.
In his note, he cited severe work pressure as the reason for his extreme step.He expressed a wish to donate his eyes — even in death, showing deep compassion.
Such heartbreaking incidents are becoming alarmingly frequent across banks.
How long will the system ignore the human toll of unchecked workload and pressure?

In a landmark achievement for officer welfare, under the resolute leadership of General Secretary Com. @nilesh_pawar15 ji, Team @fboioa_india has once again demonstrated that true representation delivers real results—securing a full refund of tax deducted on staff loans, in strict compliance with Income Tax rules.
The fight doesn’t end here. Our determined pursuit of Tax-Free Rent Accommodation continues—with focused advocacy, unyielding resolve, and a voice that refuses to be ignored.
This benefit was long enjoyed by officers due to writ petitions filed by @aiboc_in, and now, our leadership at @aiboc_in is once again gearing up for a renewed legal battle—to restore relief and fairness for officers who are taxed on accommodation.
A heartfelt thank you to our Mother Institution @BankofIndia_IN -- the foundation that shaped us, supported us, and remains central to every fight we take up for dignity, justice, and rightful dues.
@fboioa_india – Not Just Raising Issues, Resolving Them.
Recent incidents of verbal and physical abuse on bankers in Maharashtra over language issues are deeply concerning. @aiboc_in Maharashtra State has submitted a formal appeal to Hon’ble Dy CMs Shri @mieknathshinde ji & Shri @AjitPawarSpeaks ji, urging decisive action.
The Dy CMs acknowledged the crucial role played by bankers in implementing key govt schemes like 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' and assured timely intervention. They have directed police authorities & SLBC to act firmly and prevent recurrence of such incidents.
They also emphasized the need for bankers to maintain a polite and supportive attitude while serving the public.
In line with their guidance, we appeal to all bankers to sincerely implement the Trilingual Policy, with due respect for the local language—ensuring harmony and avoiding any grounds for grievance.
We trust and are really hopeful that the Govt of Maharashtra will ensure a safe, respectful environment for all bankers.
