Deputy Chief of Staff Dakota Higgins was honored to deliver opening remarks at today’s State of the Chamber event.
Thank you to the @GHDChamber for championing businesses of all sizes and helping drive economic growth, collaboration and opportunity across the High Desert!
Special thanks to CBS for coming out yesterday to cover the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Valley Communications Center, a state-of-the-art facility designed to strengthen emergency coordination, communications and public safety across the region. ⭐ 🚒
The 75,085-square-foot, three-story facility will serve as the county’s central hub for emergency management and public safety communications, housing the San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services' Emergency Operations Center, Sheriff’s Department dispatch operations, and the Consolidated Fire Agencies (CONFIRE) regional fire dispatch center. The integrated facility is designed to strengthen multi-agency coordination, improve situational awareness, and support rapid response during emergencies, disasters and large-scale incidents.
The event included remarks from county and public safety leaders, a ceremonial ribbon cutting and guided tours of the facility. Tours highlighted the Emergency Operations Center, Joint Information Center, dispatch operations floors and the facility’s emergency resilience features.
