Major bummer for #MAFundTheBus just now with a NO vote to 100% RT funding amendments brought forth by @AnneGobi and @SenBruceTarr. They made valiant speeches on the floor, but unfortunately their amendments were voted down and the mandate remains underfunded.

Just before Senate suspended rules to allow a night session, Senate Ways and Means Chair Rodrigues was asked if he had a deal with House on major spending bill. He said, "I hope. We're working it." Branches still in session, though most lawmakers are far from Beacon Hill. #mapoli

Let's hope that @SpeakerDeLeo @KarenSpilka @RepMichlewitz @SenRodrigues do the right thing and end this stand off. They are holding this money from schools (and therefore students) that NEED it!

Today's the final day for the FY19 Supplemental Budget....if the legislature doesn't take action by 3 pm, @MA_Comptroller will take the unspent revenues and put the bulk of it into reserves. There's $2.6-$5.2M in Regional Transportation and $2M in Circuit Breaker.

This is one example of what RSDs have to go through to get a budget in place. Dighton-Rehoboth finally has a budget in place for THIS school year, while probably already in the process of creating next school year's budget. #SupportMARegionalSchools #itsnoteasybeinganRSD
