I have issues with this apology post.

It starts off with:

"securing the Bitcoin held by millions of individuals, businesses, and families, this is our core responsibility, and we fell short."

and

"We take full accountability for the firmware bug and we offer our sincere apologies to those affected."

This is natural and fine, accepting basic accountability and responsibility for what happened.

But then, towards the end:

"we believe this is a sober reality of the new AI paradigm. AI-assisted code review can now find latent bugs at a speed that is outpacing even the industry’s most seasoned experts."

This is what irks me, and I find quite unbelieavable. The taking responsibility part is now fully diluted, the incident is framed as a "sober reality of the new AI paradigm". Coinkite is now seemingly just a victim of this new reality, not someone who fucked up in an insane way and takes full responsibility for that.

Coinkite had one job, build a product that provides sufficient entropy. They failed in such a spectacular way, and for such a long periode of time, that their users are now suffering the ultimate loss in Bitcoin.

The "new AI paradigm" they describe as the culprit, cannot cannot overcome 128 bits of properly generated entropy. It's therefore extremely disappointing (but sadly expected) to see this kind of diversions in an apology post while the catastrophic losses of their users are still mounting.

I'm a software engineer with an MSc in Computer Science and 25+ years in the industry. Here's why Coinkite's Coldcard bug isn't an oopsy, it's disqualifying.

Coldcard's seed generation silently fell back to a non-cryptographic "random" number generator for 5 years. Not because crypto is hard, but because Coinkite violated the most basic rule of secure system design: fail closed, never open. When a security-critical path can't be verified, the system refuses to run and throws an error.

It does not quietly substitute something weaker and carry on. This code should have refused to produce a seed. Instead it produced a predictable one and continue silently. ☠️

A company that lets its most critical code path go unverified for half a decade cannot be trusted with your keys.

Throw away your Coldcards. Never buy one again.

The world changed forever in 2020.

Millions of people realized they had been sold a lie. The dollar wasn’t safe, the government wasn’t coming to save them, Wall Street was out to profit off of them, and the media was lying to them.

This caused people to leave their jobs, move to new cities, and question everything they were being told.

This generation is never going back to believing the lies. They realize they have to take control of their life, including working at jobs with financial upside, making their own decisions in their investment portfolio, and never counting on government programs like Social Security.

Each person is pursuing true independence.

The “experts” aren’t any smarter than them. Anyone can learn anything with the internet and a little curiosity. There is no more handing over important decisions related to finance or healthcare to others.

Pure individual sovereignty.

I would never bet against this group of people. There is nothing more powerful than an informed individual who is motivated to build a better life for themselves and their family.

It is these exact people that I call the misfits.

They don’t fit in to the normal system. That doesn’t bother them though. They are proud to be different. Proud to be resilient to the mainstream bullshit. They are 100% hardcore themselves.

They may be different, but they are right.

But being different and right is where all the value lies in life.

È un argomento di cui vi ho parlato spesso, i globalisti godono ad umiliarci, ma vediamo in un post apprpfondito come lo fanno e da quando.

L'umiliazione rituale è un meccanismo di controllo sociale psicologicamente brutale usato storicamente dai globalisti.

Theodore Dalrymple e Anthony Daniels ad esempio hanno spiegato come i regimi totalitari non usino le menzogne per convincere, ma per piegare la volontà.

Che è l'obiettivo principale.

Quando uno viene costretto a ripetere o ad applaudire a una falsità evidente - come celebrare record di raccolti agricoli mentre fa ore di fila per un pezzo di pane, o la sicurezza ed efficacia dei vaccini mentre gli muore la gente intorno - subisce una profonda umiliazione psicologica.

Accettare pubblicamente la menzogna significa rinunciare alla propria dignità e alla propria integrità intellettuale, rendendosi complici del sistema.

Mentendo anche e soprattutto a sé stessi, ci si svuota della forza morale necessaria per ribellarsi.

Il fine ultimo non è ingannarci, ma la sottomissione totale.

La cosa è stata ripetutamente fatta in Unione Sovietica e nei paesi comunisti, tanto che l'antropologo Alexei Yurchak usò la parola "ipernormalizzazione" per descrivere cosa avveniva in Unione Sovietica tra gli anni Settanta e Ottanta.

In quel periodo, tutti avevano cpaito perfettamente che il sistema economico e sociale stava crollando e che la propaganda ufficiale fosse una finzione grottesca.

Ma tutti erano obbligati o convinti a recitare la propria parte in questo teatro dell'assurdo, mantenendo collettivamente una facciata di assoluta normalità.

Siamo di nuovo in quella situazione, mi sembra.

– No AC in the summer, because of “climate” and engineered energy poverty. Germans freezing or sweating while the elite virtue-signal from air-conditioned offices.

– Bloated welfare state acting as a magnet for economic migrants who contribute crime, welfare dependency, and higher fertility while native Germans are taxed into oblivion.

– Christmas markets need machine guns and concrete barriers. The German culture is diluted, and traditions are mocked.

– Media, academia, and politicians openly celebrating the demographic and cultural erasure as “diversity” while ordinary Germans get poorer, less safe, and more censored.

– The AfD says the obvious: stop the invasion, demand assimilation, protect your people, and immediately gets labeled “far-right extremists.”

This is what a decade+ of “progressive,” green, globalist rule delivered: economic stagnation, demographic suicide, cultural erasure, and speech tyranny.

Time to rip the fucking chains off. 💀
