PLU seeks Shs 1.5bn from parliament to distribute Muhoozi book

The publication, titled 52 Dimensions, was produced under the auspices of PLU to commemorate Gen Muhoozi’s 52nd birthday.

According to editor Asiimwe, the funding would facilitate the printing and free distribution of more than 200,000 copies to schools, universities, public and community libraries, leadership and ideological institutions, youth platforms and other public centres of learning across the country.

On inspection of road projects in Bungokho North Constituency today, we found disturbing evidence of the alleged misappropriation of UGX 300 million that had been allocated for the construction of the Kyasura–Bukingala 6 km road.

The inspection was conducted together with Hon Justine Namere , the area Members of Parliament, Hon. Shafiga and Hon. Mohammad Masaba, the CISO, LC V Chairperson, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), RPC Mbale Afande Twala, other security agencies, local leaders, and residents.

Despite records indicating that UGX 300 million had been spent by June 2026, the road remained in such a poor condition that all our vehicles got stuck, forcing us to walk approximately 3 km to reach the project site.

Following these findings, the Mbale District Engineer was arrested to assist with investigations into the alleged misappropriation of public funds.

The era of stealing money meant for roads and other public infrastructure in local governments is over. Every shilling allocated for service delivery must be accounted for, and those responsible will face the law.

The @BalaamBarugahar train got to Namisindwa…A wooden bridge that cost 60m. He also found someone who was given money to buy land to construct a town council office. The Jama said the had was bought the land 40m. Those who sold the land said he was meant to pay 12m of which he only paid them 8m. These are the government workers we have. There also 100 million to start the construction which began a day before Balaam showed up. I now know who people are fighting this train.
