I am closing my account. Twitters not for me. I just wanted to support the save waterloo dock campaign, It’s doing very well regardless So please follow the determined campaigners. ‘We’ll never give in until we win’ #nodiggersonthedock https://t.co/j0T4Z2jlre
On a day like today it’s beyond beautiful. So much can be done it could be an environmental, heritage, maritime showcase with IOM and cruise terminal maximising it’s commercial and community value.
Last year a developer wanted to “remove” our historic bucket fountain to build a hotel. Now it’s Grade 11 listed and celebrated thanks to the efforts of so many people. @WaterlooDock @PriorySave@saveogletshore@SaveWooltonWood@S_OldHaymarket
see how near the new cruise liner will be to waterloo warehouse listed building and historic dock - why bury history when it could be a magnificent addition to the waterfronts vista and a first stop for tourists from the liners - so much potential https://t.co/k6Ta88hfWg
Unfortunately, the mayor’s comments reflect what appears to be a disregard and disrespect for people who debate/disagree with his opinion on WHS and developments. Another one who apparently ignores constituents concerns though has photos with developers and landowners.
It’s the final day to vote for #England’s Tree of the Year to be #Europe’s Tree of the Year.
It predates:
- Battle of Hastings in 1066
- Sealing of the Magna Carta in 1205
- The Wars of the Roses in 1455

This is the waterside apartments - disgrace. What a mess - right opposite what’s going to be the new Isle of Man terminal. Do we want more of this Calibre of poorly designed structures on the waterfront? No! @lpoolcouncil @mayor_anderson
They are standing in the unfinished structure of one of the developments beside waterloo dock, which is under threat of infill from the same developer Romal Capital and landowners Peel https://t.co/k6Ta88hfWg
I am still shaking my head in disbelief at a councillor who says he’s a socialist but ignores his constituents and gets photos with developers and landowners and is so close reports the developer is ‘a very nice man’ strange councillor Hanson.
@WaterlooDock - no wildlife in the dock they said??? Today the cormorants; Canadian geese and swan families were all at home in Waterloo Dock https://t.co/k6Ta88hfWg
As these iconic cruisers and visitors approach we should be making an impression, capitalising on our waterfront and heritage, Waterloo Warehouse and its Historic Dock - the first stop off from the City. @richardbranson @mayor_anderson @LordStorey
