2201 Alemany Blvd-a vacant lot for 40+yrs-sold in Jan 2026 for $1.9 mil. MLS listing included a building idea. Instead of housing there is an EV station being built because we need that more than places for people to live.

Has anyone heard of Westside Forward SF or know who are the people behind it? The website -WestsideForwardSF.org -doesn't mention any names or the $ funding it. Nothing about meetings or how their recs came to be.

@incitafusio So except for the high school lottery it seems they are going back to way it was when I was a kid. Lawton, FSK, etc would go to AP Giannini. Most Sunset kids would then go on to Lincoln. You were with the same kids the whole time. Friends my sibs still have.

@SelenaC10705 @Nextdoor Complaints get reviewed by locals (review team & leads) who take action. Most leads/review team are Sunset Dunes & Engardio fanatics. Is that why John Z (Outer Sunset lead & AP Giannini teacher) has been so quiet of late-too busy quashing free speech?

@SelenaC10705 The Sunset Merchants Association was the principle sponsor of the the Oktoberfest on Noriega yesterday. A business owner said it came together quickly & how fast they got permits & few Noriega or Sunset merchants/vendors involved or invited. Most learned about it from the flyer.

@lauranceleesf Back in the 60s-80s there were staff that checked into chronic absences & kids that cut school. Mr Fong was the scourge of the Sunset. He'd go to a home or drive around the area looking for kids. Some he'd haul back to class & others got the dreaded parent meeting. No SARB then.
