Born on the 4th of July🇺🇸😎 152 years young😍 I don’t want a husband though so don’t even think about hitting me up

@BruhItzEdmund Who’s asking? ;)

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@BruhItzEdmund

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@SirIssacNewto19 Praying for you🙏🏻🙏🏻

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@giovanthegemini I think you should think harder and reconsider this decision

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

Not so fun fact: I only have a lunar crater named after me. I can’t believe that’s all they’ve got for me. #areyoukidding

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

I was so under the radar I was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize 4 years after my death, no one had even known I was dead #awkward

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@theygotmynose Somehow this is worse

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

Even though I was a genius (not to flex), I was also very shy and hardly spoke out against gender roles

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

Not only was I devoted to astronomy, I was also very much involved with my church and loved spending time with my family❤️❤️

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

Fun fact: I was known as the Forgotten Astronomer — and I won’t let anyone forget it

@Carolyn30883841 #queensofscience #ladyboss

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@BruhItzEdmund I’ve never been so inspired!🤩

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

Pickering published my work in his name! I cannot express my anger enough! Are you kidding me?! I get no credit for my hard work! #hardlife #plagiarism

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@SirIssacNewto19 Could NOT be me

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@1918Johnson So proud😀😀

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

Another challenge I had to face was the very fact that I was a woman. In my time, very few women worked outside of the house #workhard

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

My frequent health problems got in the way of my work. Never stopped me though.

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@EdwinHu52013222 You may have measured the distance to the nebula in Andromeda, but you wouldn’t have been able to do that without my Cepheid Variable. You can thank me later.

[Henrietta Swan Leavitt @SwanLeavitt]

@best_astronomer This is why I never married🙄🙄
