There is nothing worse than, seeing people say a kid is up to xyz number, sitting xyz numbers, then you drive to xyz place to see numbers substantially lower. Be better baseball community.
When my 13 year old son gets better at a skill it's not because I explained and rambled on about it. It's because he put the reps in and solved the problem. Give guided discovery methods a try versus dictator teaching.
1. Study everything broadly (4-6yrs)
2. Identify a problem in a specific category
3. Research problem (2-4yrs)
4. Present solution

If you decide to do extra training on rest days, you can never complain about workload during heavy training sessions and cannot blame others when you burn out. Empty the tank and then recover as hard as you trained.
S&C Hot Take: You’re not a bad coach because you don’t “grind” for 14 hours a days. Get out of the weight room and make time for family, friends & hobbies. YOUR mental/physical wellness is just as important as your athletes!

2) Keep hitting homers, no matter what the situation is
3) Keep bringing energy and flash to baseball and making it fun
4) The only thing you did wrong was apologize. Stop that.
