▶️ What Starfish is: It is IOTA’s next-generation Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus protocol, inspired by Mysticeti but specifically optimized for real-world conditions.

⭐ Starfish keeps the ledger moving forward even when validators lag or network conditions are imperfect.
⭐ Recovery of lagging nodes happens in parallel without stalling consensus.
⭐ It retains high throughput and fast finality while being significantly more robust.

And if Africa’s roadmap holds, by 2035 those cross-border payments across the entire continent could be settling in native stablecoins on IOTA, not on Ethereum or Bitcoin.

Why do I say this? Because the timeline already exists:

Timeline (2 phases):

1️⃣ LayerZero integration on mainnet — coming shortly (maybe days… maybe weeks).
The foundational step that allows ADAPT and TWIN to actually operate cross-border, letting stable liquidity flow to where digital trade already lives.
2️⃣ USDT0 — not long after.
Native support enabling direct USDT-based payments and settlement on IOTA Rebased within the AfCFTA ecosystem.

If TWIN already felt massive — digitizing trade documents, verifiable identity, customs permissions and logistics across borders — ADAPT blows the ceiling off.
