TCP is a registered charity. For women, men, and young people - reaching and teaching to help break the cycle of generational abuse, and bring hope and healing
People sometimes ask what the Ananias Foundation does. We put together this short video to explain the very unique - and highly valuable - role we play in addressing #domesticviolence and #domesticabuse.
When I first confided in a friend about my ex’s abuse, they responded, “But we don’t want to pick sides, he’s always been so nice to us.”
Remaining neutral in the face of abuse is taking a side.
Why Staying Neutral Hurts Survivors:
• It validates the abuser’s behavior.
• It diminishes the victim’s pain.
• It signals disbelief in the victim's experience.
• It enables the abuser to continue.
Neutrality reinforces the abuser’s facade, leaving the survivor feeling isolated and unsupported.
Standing with the survivor is about doing what’s right, not about choosing sides.

Past experiences can weigh heavily on us - affecting the here and now, affecting our future. It’s not easy letting go. We know how valuable emotional support can be. Your recovery journey is not meant to be done alone.
Economic abuse can be difficult to identify. It can develop slowly and an abuser's behaviour may even seem protective or caring at first. Find out more about how to spot the signs of economic abuse by visiting the SEA website.
