@AnnetteZ_SW Georgia has already opened salons, spas, restaurants, and gyms. Bowling alleys, movie theatres, and small business are in the clear for opening too. I know Trump was unhappy with Georgia’s Governor for opening things as early as last Friday. Everyone stay safe!
@RhondaP15698905@YouTube I’ve seen this video before, great retweet. Such an interesting and eye opening experiment. Privileged or not, many people still feel some level of pressure regardless of their background.

@RhondaP15698905 Social workers are highly essential and with the expected rise in mental health needs, social workers are front line care for many individuals. They come in contact with individuals and families for protection, assistance, and provide necessary resources. Protection is needed!
@MegaSocialWorkr As social workers we would need to create awareness about safety during this time. Advocating for safety, our clients, and the communities. Being available to offer resources and assistance to people will help their fear, anger, and whatever other emotions they may feel.
@RhondaP15698905 This is a great article for bringing awareness to child abuse/neglect. The educators that see the children on a regular basis acts as a voice for children. It’s easily understood that an increase in child abuse/neglect is occurring. It’s reassuring that resources are available.

@paul_icatar This article is eye opening and I am glad you shared it. What an important message to shed light on race and poverty during COVID-19. Yes, everyone is a culprit during this time but everyone’s “struggle” isn’t a matter of similarities and differences. It’s a matter of survival.
@RhondaP15698905 This is a great topic to advocate for consistently, but especially right now. The more we advocate and offer assistance the more lives can be empacted by social workers, counselors, and therapists. People don’t have to face their challenges alone.

@KonesniM The connection is not the same over phone or video, but a video chat would be more beneficial so the relationship can still be gained by visually seeing one another. Social Workers must continue to do their best to assist clients during these hard and distant times.
@RhondaP15698905 75% of teens felt influenced to participate in behaviors seen from people on social media. Social media is an influencer itself. Parents need to be able to address every part of life that “influences” behaviors, habits, interest, etc. This article is interesting & important.
@AnnetteZ_SW Such an important issue to address. The reason for declines in reports is obvious during self isolation times. It’s important for communities to be aware of a child’s physical appearance and demeanor, same for parents. These children now have no voice against abuse and neglect.
