Autism is driven methylation issues - fixing them can treat it.
Recent study, finding that:
◇ Homocysteine was 5X as likely to be high in those with autism (marker of impaired methylation)
◇ Vitamin B9 (folate) was 4X as likely to be LOW in those with autism (primary methylation supporting nutrient)
Without proper methylation:
◈ Homocysteine rises - which is neurotoxic / inflammatory / poisons mitochondria
◈ Cells cannot divide and synthesize structural components properly

This is one of the more concerning consumer-exposure studies I’ve seen in a while.
98% of personal care and household products contained at least one chemical that was not disclosed on the label, including several endocrine-disrupting chemicals such as bisphenols, phthalates, and parabens.
85% contained at least one chemical with a known or suspected health hazard, more than half failed testing because of undisclosed contaminants, and 26% contained chemicals that directly contradicted claims on the label. On average, the products contained more than 3x as many chemicals as their labels disclosed.
And this included products marketed as “natural,” “non-toxic,” and “fragrance-free.”
I’ve talked for years about reducing unnecessary exposure to endocrine disruptors. But you can’t avoid a chemical if you don’t know it’s there!
Ingredient labels alone may simply not be enough at this point. We need much better testing and transparency of the products people are putting on their bodies and using in their homes every single day.
A new study indicates that water is actually two distinct liquids — not a single, uniform substance.
For decades, physicists theorized that water has a microscopic "dual personality." Proving it, however, has been notoriously difficult due to how quickly water molecules shift. Now, an international team of researchers utilizing unsupervised AI has uncovered the clearest evidence yet that liquid water is not a one uniform substance.
Instead, it is a dynamic blend of two distinct structures: a dense, disordered "high-density liquid" (HDL) and a looser, more ordered "low-density liquid" (LDL) that continuously swap configurations.
This rapid, molecular-level shuffling is the secret behind water’s most anomalous behaviors. Unlike most liquids that contract as they cool, water reaches its peak density at 4 degrees Celsius and then expands as it approaches freezing—which is why ice floats.
By mapping this constant transformation, researchers have opened a new door in chemistry, helping to explain not only how water behaves in extreme environments but also how it maintains the delicate, thermal balance necessary to sustain life on Earth.

A new study argues that the current diagnostic construct of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has expanded so broadly that it risks creating clinical confusion, overdiagnosis, and misdirected care.
The study suggests that merging severe early-onset developmental challenges and late-diagnosed adult profiles under a single “catch-all” spectrum obscures fundamental biological, genetic, and clinical differences, calling for a precision rethink that splits the spectrum into clearer, needs-focused subgroups.

People with similar autistic traits seem to connect on their own social wavelength.
Their brains synchronized during conversation in distinct patterns depending on whether they were paired with someone who shared similar autistic traits.
What we call radio, visible light, X-rays and gamma rays are all part of the same electromagnetic phenomenon.
The visible range is just a tiny window our eyes happen to detect.

Genetic studies indicate that humans’ intellectual abilities have been deteriorating. In short, humans are getting dumber.
While our ancestors had to rely on sharp wits and flawless memory to survive harsh hunter-gatherer environments, modern society might be shielding us from the evolutionary pressure to stay smart.
According to Stanford University geneticist Dr. Gerald Crabtree, the massive web of genes responsible for human cognitive ability is highly vulnerable to mutation. Because we no longer face the daily life-or-death intellectual trials of the ancient past, harmful genetic mutations are slowly accumulating in our genomes, quietly eroding our baseline intellectual potential over hundreds of generations.
This genetic decay is incredibly slow—unnoticeable from one generation to the next—which explains why we currently seem smarter than ever. In fact, average IQ scores have risen significantly over the last century thanks to monumental public health and educational advancements, such as improved prenatal care, better childhood nutrition, and the elimination of lead from gasoline and paint.
However, Crabtree warns that this environmental boost merely masks a slow, underlying biological decline.
While modern technology and societal support continue to elevate our daily performance, our species' raw genetic blueprint for intelligence may have already passed its peak.
