@DrInsensitive In the 70’s in my hometown, too many kids were drowning in the local quarries and the local Veterans’ Club built a fantastic pool. When I was a kid (mid 00’s,) they sold it off to the school, and the first generation of kids to enjoy the pool ran it into the ground within 5 years

@martianwyrdlord I have to disagree. I grew up in a small Ohio town that was 98% white, and places like the county library and the gas stations had stupid rules like this. Poorly parented (low income?) kids of all demographics engage in undesirable antisocial behavior.

The Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive passed through Pittsburgh just moments ago!
The Big Boy is truly a BEAST! It was completed in 1941 as one of only 25 ever built and is the only one that is still operational today. It is 133 ft long and weighs about 1.2 million pounds! The ground shook as it went by, as most trains do, but you could really feel the power of it! #pittsburgh
