@agi_ck @DrChaya Thanks for the link. There is obviously a discrepancy between the research. Very interesting how they can be so contradictory. Must be an issue of framing the sample differently or something. Suicide is a tragedy regardless of the person's job title.

End of semester grading crunch. Right in the middle of my (precipitously high) stack of essays, a near-perfect submission. I almost clutched it to my chest. Essays like this make it all worth it.

@raulpacheco @AcademicChatter I am currently drafting my proposal. I plan to defend early fall 2019. I think in the social sciences it’s doable, if not ideal. I know colleagues that have defended award-winning dissertations in 2 semesters.
