@nationaltrust @clivedenhouse what are you thinking?
Acres of plastic fake grass right down the middle of your long borders. This sends a message to your thousands of visitors that it's OK to do this. BUT IT IS NOT
#plastics
@nationaltrust @clivedenhouse what are you thinking? Putting down acres of plastic fake grass running the length of the long borders is sending the message to your thousands of visitors that this is OK. AND IT'S NOT

This stuff and the ever increasing amount of plastic plants appearing in shops has to be banned - their effect on the environment is horrendous. People buy without thinking because it's cheap and piled high @IKEAUK@DunelmUK please buck the trend and stop selling this trash
Welcome to Scotland. This beach is on Skye & this is the reality of many of our beaches. A huge group of folk have worked incredibly hard over the last few days, to try & remove as much plastic pollution from Skye's beaches as possible. The issue is huge, shocking & heartbreaking
@cleanupbritain@NationalHways A64 to York just the same. This has happened over the last couple of years. What on earth must visitors to the UK think? Apart from making a note never to come back. Has someone stopped doing a job that used to be done, or has littering just got worse? How can I help?
At the PAGS AGM on Saturday l was able to share the good news We have found a buyer for Fibrex Nurseries. Edd will move the nursery to his site.
We will help and support him as much as we can
And you will be able to still buy your Fibrex Pelargoniums. We will keep you posted.
I'm saying no to plastic plants and grass in gardens and also to all the horrible plastic plants and fake green walls popping up in restaurants and bars. They are made from petrochemicals, look rubbish, and add to the massive waste plastic problem
Today we are launching our 'Say No to Plastic Grass & Plants’ campaign supported by @the_rhs & @talklandscape. Let's debunk the claims that these products are harmless and encourage the public to use beautiful, natural solutions instead. https://t.co/LoXMGl0FNC
@cleanupbritain@NationalHways Thank you for posting this. You are quite right - there is the most depressing litter along our motorways and dual carriageways. My home town of Leeds looks appalling as drivers approach. Unfortunately litter breeds litter, and if we leave it there it will just attract more.
@David492111@Shitlawns Dark fences ( with hedgehog holes) make an excellent background for loads of vibrant planting - just roll up that horrible green plastic and get some plants in there! Sunflowers, blossom trees, tomatoes, tulips.... I can imagine it full of life
@Shitlawns Oh dear, how nasty. Plastic grass is such a horrible waste of money. Plants are nothing to be afraid of. They might actually bring some pleasure
