Xenophobia: No Foreign Investor Can Be Equated to a Nigerian Life, MTN Should Be Nationalised – Oshiomhole
I'm aware that MTN is quoted on the stock exchange, Nigerian shareholders can hold on to their shares but we should take away South African control. We should re-privatise it so Nigerians can take it over, and there would be no repatriation of funds to South Africa. During the campaign of President Ramaphosa, a major shareholder in MTN, he argued that foreigners are doing the jobs of South Africans. Now South Africa has high unemployment, and some have transferred aggression against other Africans. Life is more important. Nigeria should not look for investors who choose wealth over human life.

“The rate at which some Fulani people are so confident is alarming. How can a Fulani man enter someone’s compound, see a beautiful tree, cut it down, and feed it to his cows? When the woman questioned him, he said ‘why not? my cows are hungry.’ She asked him to leave, he refused. Even the vigilante told him to go, he still refused, until things escalated and he was shot. That incident allegedly led to retaliation in the Marhaba attack.
A friend of mine also said when he planted sweet potatoes, Fulani herders would bring their cows to eat the leaves. He fenced his house, yet they still came knocking, asking him to open the gate so their cows could feed.”
