While it feels like silly to promote papers while the world burns, it is a exciting to see the first MS student thesis published from the lab! @jesslsandoval examined factors influencing paedomorphosis in mole #salamanders https://t.co/CBVQFn1SiT

Mentoring students at a MS/UG institution already feels fleeting. But losing that connection prematurely is even tougher. So, savor those moments you get to do science with students, as they're the best part of this job IMO.
New lab paper out in @SciReports. With the help of Trevor Rallo, a tremendous undergrad turned MS student, we did some #phenology experiments to investigate how egg hatching asynchronies and seasonality of hatching impacted #salamander demography. https://t.co/znLY4vBqxL
@SolomonRDavid It was in a seasonally flooded area of a slow moving stream on our campus in the STL metro area (pic from a while ago but more or less looks the same)
@cy_mott @TomRadomski4 Same here of really warm but dry. We did get a pulse of movement by tigrinum and texanum though in very early Feb or late Jan on our last heavy rain. there were eggs in the pond on Feb 6
