Reports of distractions thefts across the city are increasing –where a victim’s attention is diverted to steal phones, jewelry, wallets, or other valuables. Seniors, people with limited knowledge of English and those who appear trusting are being targeted. Stay safe, be aware of your surroundings – and if someone is close enough to touch you or place something on your body, they’re too close.
