@dunksonyou@DanWolken Every college season is great. This one is nothing different, aside from the fact that some big schools are seeing some empty seats because the ticket pricing has gone insane to keep up with the NIL packages.
@M_Sand09@TheQuarterZip@GabbyHerzig Any turf manager would take dry conditions over wet year after year. Wet conditions may reduce rounds but it increases compaction, creates anaerobic growing conditions, and increases disease pressure. Those conditions on immature turf is not an ideal combination
@GabbyHerzig There’s also a lot of bedrock just below the surface there, and no amount of water can keep grass alive during hot conditions. Adding more topsoil would have affected the desired contours, the other option is blasting, which would dramatically increase the cost of the project.
@GabbyHerzig Terrible that you would post this. One picture shows an obvious area of disturbance in a low swale, and keeping immature grass alive during a really wet year in a swale is pretty challenging.
@mikestanislaw@CodyBarnhartWx Wow. We were in Salvo about 8 years ago and we headed back north as a storm was rolling in and 12 washed out about an hour after we left. Bad situation but didn’t realize they rerouted 12 over the bay
