@Enichan Lua is the right choice here. Hosting the lua runtime is really easy in everything, and it can call out into most things without trouble as well. I've used it to invoke c and c# and it works fine. Its also much easier to write compared to real c.

@chipzel I'm not (entirely) an audio person, but the pc (spotify) drives the logitech Z906 via digital out, the consoles/media-pc in the lounge/kitchen play through Dali Concepts powered by an Onkyo TX-NR656, and the iPhone (commute) music plays on airpod pros.

@JennaPrice @philbetts This is the correct advice. There is so much that goes on in the book (especially around the politics) that no 3h movie could do it justice and the context will greatly improve the movie. Skip the sequels, watch the movie while the book is still fresh.
