@MyintPwint@Etatae333@ayehan5e4s@Chan_Myae_May UNESCO and WIPO never said what you're claiming. UNESCO recognizes shared cultural heritage, while WIPO works to protect it from misuse and exploitation. Neither says that at all. Are you just twisting international rules to fit your own narrative?
@Wawatin2015Wa Then what about the art and culture your ancestors took from Lanna and Ayudhya when they invaded? Why don't you give them credit for that? Maybe you should learn your own history first.
@narongwud@Emmametin@mesapapern That's what I've been wondering too. Why do they keep pointing to the temples and walls, but never explain how the culture was passed down or how it continued to develop? That seems strange to me.
@Emmametin@mesapapern So, are you saying there’s been no cultural transmission for over a thousand years? Did it just suddenly disappear? And are you saying the people living in your country today have nothing to do with the people who lived there a thousand years ago?
@DawMaythu5wwu So, no. Just because two outfits look alike doesn’t mean one copied the other. If you have proof of direct copying, show it. Otherwise, learn the difference before throwing around words like “theft.”
@DawMaythu5wwu Cultural transmission means traditions get passed down, changed and built on over generations. A community can inherit a style and make it its own without claiming it invented the original. That’s how culture works.
@Wawatin2015Wa Where did you get that 80% figure? Have you even watched the entire series? Throwing out numbers like that without any real evidence is just overclaiming. Calling it fiction doesn't make your claims any more convincing.
@Chan_Myae_May@CBuri17007@GMMTV@tha_sataporn GMMTV said it was inspired by Myanmar's art and culture, but they never said which parts. So why are you jumping to conclusions and claiming this particular outfit is Burmese? Where did GMMTV actually say that?
@hanyaaadm@mintk30@blundisputed Honestly, only some groups in Myanmar seem to think this way and keep asking for way too much credit. The world is bigger than just your own country. Maybe you should look around and see how things work in other parts of the world.
@hanyaaadm@mintk30@blundisputed Just look at Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon. It mixes inspiration from many Southeast Asian cultures, even more than what we're talking about here. But they didn't list the exact country of origin for every outfit, pattern, weapon, or cultural detail.
@BubbleGunl@klongklang79102 We know people in Myanmar are suffering. Nobody is denying that. But saying the war has nothing to do with ethnicity? Come on! This conflict is much more complicated than that. Don't ignore history just to make your point.
@BubbleGunl@klongklang79102 And what about Shan people living in Thailand? They're part of our communities too. If Burmese and Shan have been brothers for so long, then why can't we be brothers too? Or does that only work when you say so?
@Sagittarius493 If you still think it's that serious, go talk to your own government. Let them send an official notice or ban the show if they think it's that bad. But stop changing what you want every time. Seriously, what will make you happy?
@Sagittarius493 GMMTV has already given Myanmar credit and even made a whole EP 0 to explain where the ideas came from. So what more do you want? Seriously, how much more do they have to do to make you happy?
