@minney_nana2007@loser4maruz Nobody is asking for permission to use inspiration. We're asking for accurate cultural credit. Acknowledging Myanmar as an inspiration is not the same as properly recognizing the specific cultural elements used. Please understand the difference.
@minney_nana2007@loser4maruz Changing the title doesn't address the cultural credit issue. We're asking for proper recognition, not just a new name. Don't confuse the two.
@minney_nana2007@loser4maruz This is about cultural respect, not movie ownership. Investing in a production doesn't give you the right to dismiss another culture's heritage. Learn the difference.
How can you say something like that to another person? I have screenshots of everything you posted. Even if you delete them now, it's already too late. I'm not targeting Thailand; my only focus is GMMTV. @GMMTV
@TSGamer1234@mintk30@blundisputed We simply want Myanmar's cultural heritage to be properly acknowledged and credited where it's used. Asking for cultural recognition isn't asking for too much. It's about respect.
@TSGamer1234@mintk30@blundisputed Disney announced from the beginning that Raya was inspired by various Southeast Asian cultures. That's the difference. We're not asking GMMTV to credit every single detail or claim the entire series as Myanmar's.
@mintk30@blundisputed If the credit is clear, then specifying exactly which Myanmar cultural elements were used and where they originated shouldn't be difficult. We're asking for clarity, not accusing every Thai person of stealing culture. There's no need to insult other nations.
@Kootsher Giving credit to Chinese influences doesn't mean Myanmar's cultural contributions should be overlooked. We can care about border issues and cultural recognition at the same time. One doesn't cancel out the other. Stay on topic.
@mintk30@blundisputed We're not claiming every culture as our own. We simply want proper recognition of the Myanmar cultural elements used. Insulting an entire nation won't change that. Stay on topic.
@dekdee992@Summerwzay You can mock Myanmar all you want, but that doesn't give you ownership of our cultural heritage. Culture isn't something you can claim just because you think another country is unable to protect it. Respect and proper credit are what we're asking for, nothing more.
@6aprildays@Summerwzay Insulting an entire country doesn't make you look smarter. If you have a valid point, make it without resorting to xenophobia. Our cultural heritage deserves respect regardless of what you think about Myanmar.
@mintk30@Summerwzay If insulting people is all you can do, then you've already proven you have no valid argument. Try addressing the actual issue instead of embarrassing yourself.
@mintk30@blundisputed When you can't address the cultural credit issue, you change the subject to politics and insult an entire nation. Do you really think that makes your argument stronger? Cultural recognition is a basic matter of respect, not something people should have to beg for.
@blundisputed I honestly don't understand why they didn't disclose this from the beginning. If we hadn't spoken up, they would have simply claimed it as their own. Even now, they're still desperately denying it.
