After 10 years away from Abia State.
Abia-born football superstar, Kenneth Omeruo, OON, MON, who now plays for CFR Cluj in Romania, paid a visit to Governor Alex Otti.
He commended the governor for his giant strides, saying that whenever he opens his social media, he's always amazed by the incredible projects and developments going on in Abia.
Omeruo told the governor that he is very proud to be from Abia and has been actively using his social media handles to share and repost the good news from home, while thanking Governor Otti for bringing his professional touch to governance.
He also used the opportunity to inform the governor of his plans to give back to society through a football talent hunt initiative he intends to launch in Abia State. The project will help discover young, talented footballers who can be mentored and supported to break into major clubs, especially in Europe. He requested the state government's collaboration on this noble vision.
It was truly an awesome moment.
After 10 years, let's hope he still remembers his way back to the village 😅
In 162 days: The Highest Court in Nigeria failed to determine the case brought before it by eleven PDP governors, against the FG.
The Apex court failed to determine the suit challenging the removal of Governor Fubara & the appointment of a sole administrator.
They simply left the file on a dusty shelf.
RIP to the Judiciary in Nigeria is in order. The Supreme Court became silent when the case was between the FG & public interest. The apex court has taken sides. They are not neutral.
Elections in Nigeria became one of the most expensive in the world. For a charade that will end in GO TO COURT. The Supreme Court is now academic. A scarecrow of its former glory.
Nigeria was okay until the APC showed up. They decimated our country to ground zero. But that wasn’t enough! The found additional mojo to capture the courts & ALL Institutions as well.
Justices Kayode Eso, Chukwudifu Oputa, Mohammed Uwais, Karibi-Whyte, Anthony Aniagolu, & George Oguntade are disappointed!
These were activist judges. They were fearlessly courageous. When the matter for determination was of national importance, they dispensed it judiciously & timely. Their landmark judgments are reference points for other judges & lawyers to this day.
The Supreme Court is now into Regime Protection, the worst kind since 1999. The judiciary contributed greatly to the political morass we have in Nigeria today.
The fastest road to a “Failed state” is when citizens completely lose faith in their judiciary. When they say go to court, you already know they have the judiciary in their pocket.
“No businessman can bring their money into a country where the judiciary is compromised. Where officials can dictate court judgments.”
The federal government of nigeria kept Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in detention but they're busy negotiating and having peace deals with terrorixts and bandits in northern nigeria.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be released unconditionally.
The Southeast politicians are not recognised they are all terrorist, criminals, The only government we Biafrans have right now is the United States of Biafra Government, nothing more, nothing less.
So, Nigeria just incorporated Chinese Language, Mandarin into the Nigerian high school curriculum. Yes, curriculum. I thought it was fake news. Found out it isn’t. Here’s what I think is going on with this very strange administration in Nigeria.
Ezigbo Nsogbu Di 👇🏾
Ideas make all the difference.
Politicians and parties bereft of ideas, strangle political discourse with distractions, propaganda, divisiveness and Lies. We must resist and return the conversation to issues, policy and ideas that would tackle poverty and make our lives better.
I would also like you to meet this Alhaji fondly called “Papa Ngozi”, who speaks Igbo with fluency and pride.
For decades, he has lived side by side with the Igbo people, just as millions of Igbos across northern Nigeria speak Hausa, Fulfulde, and other northern languages. Many even rear cattle like Fulani herdsmen.
In places like the Mambilla Plateau in Taraba State, you will find Igbo families speaking Fulfulde fluently, quoting Fulani proverbs, and sometimes speaking it even better than native speakers.
