The @WHO REPREP (Response Preparedness) programme, in collaboration with @FAO & @WOAH, is an initiative designed to help countries strengthen their preparedness for zoonoses. It structures a multisectoral response (human health, animal health, environmental) before crises occur, through joint operational plans & exercises.
The key point of the REPREP #OneHealth programme is to create a national multisectoral response framework to better manage outbreaks of zoonotic diseases. During the workshop, participants will agree on a process for finalizing & operationalizing the joint framework. This process will be implemented in the post-workshop phase. The session is organized in collaboration with @OMSNiger with technical online support @TTSTOP & @barryrodB on behalf of @WHOAFRO #DakarHub, preparedness team. #ProudToBeWHO.
#Accra#Ghana is hosting ECOWAS Regional Technical One Health Meeting from November 10-13, 2025. The #OneHealth practitioner presenting the @FAO@UNEP@WHOAFRO@WOAH Quadripartite’s progress to advancing One Health Surveillance Systems during the ongoing ECOWAS Regional Technical One Health Meeting. @TTSTOP’s presentation highlighted the importance of operationalizing #OneHealth approach to empower communities to build & sustain the adaptive capacity to evaluate, mitigate and respond to health and well-being threats. Advancing Integrated #OneHealth Surveillance Systems in the ECOWAS Region objective = “A World better able to prevent, predict, detect, and respond to health threats and improve the health of humans, animals, plants, and the environment while contributing to sustainable development”.

#Gitega, August 4-9. @WHOAFRO, @FAO & @WOAH are supporting #Burundi to implement and strengthen the multisectoral @OneHealth collaboration. Over 80 national experts from the central level including representatives from the office of the President, regional and sub-regional level from human health, animal health, environmental health sectors gathered to identify critical activities to improve the implementation of #OneHealth in order to strengthen health security and pandemic preparedness.
