@unboxpolitics New reporting stated the shooter's gun jammed when he went to the temple and tried to shoot at it, which got him to look up how to unjam his gun and asking a colleague, who reported it. Very fortunate that happened but this does not bode well.
@AmanitaFugax This is still one of my favorite (relatively short) articles on the atomic bombings and how the scale (and type) of death in WW2 probably affected the decisions made by leadership.

@nolightupstairs I actually make rasam with lentils (toor dal specifically), might just be a regional thing (passed down in the family). But yup, can't go wrong with the combo you said!
@7uomoki Yup, they're basically always interesting to learn about. I think being a pretty good person (anecdotally at least) and also solid communicator (he ended up marrying the person who was interviewing him!) ON TOP of those things is even rarer. People like this are good role models!
@NegroLibre1 Fittingly, "my" people can be extremely bigoted/racist to people from a neighboring state of India, who look basically the same to the vast majority of non-Indians. Most racial supremacists don't really care about the difference, but people like Dinesh think they do/should.
@therealRYC help generate an A/P or give feedback, but I do think that letting the AI generate the whole A/P means you're at much greater risk of letting your skills atrophy. Even if the AI was *better* than me at it, I would still rather do it on my own and cross-check with the AI after.
@therealRYC assistance from outside resources) before you take the shortcut. I wouldn't have a problem with an attending (or 4th year psych resident, etc.) who has demonstrated the ability to interview and create their own A/P in multiple settings/with multiple patient types/etc. using AI to
@devahaz@tracewoodgrains Extremely obvious lol
Again, still valid to believe in the nondiscrimination stuff, but it was very obvious from several of the prominent people spearheading it where this was going
@rivalclay I will always love Pokemon art that sells that huge sense of scale, and this does just that. Fantastic work! Also cool to see a non-legendary Pokemon as one of the giants, Baxcalibur does have the right silhouette for it!
I am doing a series of articles (“Therapeutic Window”) for the Science desk at The New York Times. The first article is about whether ADHD is better understood as a disorder of “attention” or something else:

@BumrahBachi Right after I commented, I kept scrolling and on my feed it came up, I should have known lol
Well, I feel bad for that kid. Interesting to see how his fans/followers feel, presumably some split between "lol based" and "I can't believe this race traitor pretended to be one of us"
