The Northview apartments and the Canyon Pass apartments continue to be plagued with criminal activity and public nuisance from 4 September - 9 October 2026.

The Creek Bend apartments remain under construction; however, are attracting crime to the area before its even occupied.

The crimes between these three taxpayer funded housing projects included activities related to narcotics, vehicle theft, burglary, and activities pertaining to a Wanted Person, among other public nuisance calls.

All of three of these projects are through @COSAGOV's @sahousingtrust and its partnership with Pedcor Investments.

Of note, the Executive Director of the Texas Bond Review Board, Robert Latsha, which approves the millions of dollars in tax exemptions each Pedcor Investments project receives, is married to the Vice President of Development of Pedcor Investments, who is responsible for planning and developing these projects.

These are all taxpayer funded Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) housing projects.

Canyon Pass and Creek Bend are zoned for @cisdnews and Pieper High School, while the Northview apartments are zoned for @NEISD and Johnson High School.

None of these projects will pay property taxes into each respective school district for 20, 30, 40, 50 or more years.

Once occupied, the crime in Creek Bend will be no different than its sister projects in the area.

@ComalCountyTX and @cisdnews property taxpayers have no political representation to @COSAGOV.

Yet, @ComalCountyTX and @cisdnews property taxpayers are supposed to foot the public school bill for these projects that will bring this type of crime into local @cisdnews schools.

Animal related issues continue in @COSAGOV's @sahousingtrust and @OppHomeSA taxpayer funded housing projects.

Between 26 September - 2 October 2026, there were 18 total Animal Care Services (ACS) cases in these taxpayer funded housing projects, including seven Aggressive Animal calls and two cases of Animal Neglect (Cruelty).

Not only do these projects not pay property taxes into public school districts or emergency services, and yet are the most demanding on them, they don't pay property taxes into ACS either.

You're paying for it and you're also paying for this type of behavior and crime.

Of note, Texas Community Preservation doesn't observe any arrests related to these animal neglect and cruelty instances at these taxpayer funded housing projects, despite the documentation by ACS.

🚨 A convicted alien smuggler who fled a Border Patrol checkpoint at speeds reportedly reaching 112 MPH was later arrested while living at the taxpayer funded Canyon Pass Apartments.

Johnny Lee Shavers Jr. pleaded guilty to a federal felony after transporting two Honduran nationals concealed in his vehicle. He served federal prison time and was later arrested again in Bexar County for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon in July 2026.

The Canyon Pass apartments are a taxpayer funded housing project involving the @sahousingtrust and Pedcor Investments, and is zoned for @cisdnews.

Looks like Texas Community Preservation has been loud enough on social media about all the crime in, and violent criminals in, @COSAGOV's @OppHomeSA and @sahousingtrust taxpayer funded housing projects, that the Bexar County Jail Activity Reports no longer contain the address of the persons being charged with the crime.

Pretty weak if you ask me @Mayor_GOJ and @ejwskk.

What CoSA Neighborhood & Housing Services Clerk did you send down to the courthouse to request that change? Is his first name "Zack"?

Doesn't matter. We know these projects are ripe with heinous criminal activity and will bring this type of social and criminal peril to your neighborhoods and local schools.

There are other ways of getting this information.

The subject has an extensive and extreme violent criminal history, including multiple prior charges of the same type of violent assault and choking of family members, along with many other criminal charges.

A second person living in a @COSAGOV @sahousingtrust taxpayer funded housing project was also processed into the Bexar County Jail on 18 September 2026 for Assault of a Family Member. This subject also has multiple prior criminal charges.
