NAZARETH ISD SCHOOL BOARD RETALIATES AGAINST PARENTS OPTING OUT OF STAAR - Sign the Petition! https://t.co/qo6vJK7kDs via @Change
Stop educational bullying! Kids First...#morethanascore
Almost half the fourth graders scored a zero on the STAAR essay last year up from 5%.
That's not a kid or teacher problem. The problem is the test itself. The fix is in. #optout#opposestatetakeover

Apparently the @TeagueISD superintendent thinks this is an appropriate way to talk to a parent who prioritized a family event over optional, after school tutoring, and the complained to the Board about the school's reaction.
“The school receives from the Texas Education Agency some $12,000 per student” The reason charter schools are a HUGE problem is an unelected board of trustees, resulting in less transparency, they get more $$ per pupil than ISDs, they reduce funding to ISDs and they up and close.
Now is the time, #txed! We're hearing again and again from lawmakers that they need to hear from their constituents about vouchers...so let 'em hear you! Click here and take 20 seconds to stand up for public schools: https://t.co/aGkqZQqVqi #txlege#vOUCHersHurt

Someone needs to tell @SDavisWylie that the legislature and the Commissioner make the rules about substitute assessments, not him! #ultravires#soldouttostaar#staytuned
Shame on @Region9ESC for misleading districts and parents about the use of Substitute Assessments. Students do not need to attempt ANY EOC before using sub assessments for graduation purposes.
