Fantastic event today at #WEF2024 with @algore, @Microsoft, @nature_org, and @ClimateTRACE to discuss how satellite data and AI can further climate transparency.

We looked at two incredible projects using @planet data - the Global Renewables Watch, a living, open-source atlas of all utility-scale solar and wind installations on Earth; and Climate TRACE, a timely and open inventory that is pinpointing greenhouse gas emission sources globally.

Excited to see what progress we can collectively make in this space!

These SkySat images capture water spilling over the Nova Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine. The dam cuts through Ukraine’s Dnipro River, holding back a huge reservoir of water. The dam’s failure poses a humanitarian and ecological catastrophe.
