@EBillington22 I couldn't agree more. It always makes me smile when a student is better than me when it comes to technology. They are the future, so they should be advancing and spreading their knowledge to their peers. #EDTE4200tc12
Teaching digital citizenship equips students with the knowledge, skills, and resources to become lifetime learners. Teaching them to engage in a digital environment instills responsibility. It also impacts the future of learners. #EDTE4200tc12

@EBillington22 I think most, if not all, of the videos on khan academy are great. It was hard to choose one for this thread. "What is Programming?" was very informative. I really like the idea of using khan in the classroom. #EDTE4200tc11
I found that the "Creating a Class" video was a good tutorial on how to incorporate Khan Academy into canvas/Google classroom. I would create a class and load a bunch of videos for students to learn more of whichever topics interested them. #EDTE4200tc11

@EBillington22 Hi Elizabeth, I liked creating my own rubric as well. Csub has us Adjunct Lecturers use a specific rubric for the department we teach with. It really was nice to create my own for a change. #EDTE4200tc8
I had a lot of fun using Audacity. I recorded myself reading some classic mythology hymns and then later on I used it with some pictures in Animoto to bring the reading to life. #EDTE4200tc8
@aaronc_csub@techteach_csub Hi Aaron! I didn't choose Google sites, but after working with it on the Tech Quest, I can definitely see the potential application in the classroom. It feels like a simple version of a Google classroom.
@LauraAy77811598 @techteach_csub Hi Laura, I kinda chose Google slides as well. I really like the simplicity of use and being able to share with the students. It's also very easy for students to create presentations on. #EDTE4200tc10
I have two favorite google tools, slides and forms. I'm torn to choose just one favorite because slides is great for lessons, but forms is great for creating quizzes. I'm going to have to choose both π€·#EDTE4200tc10
@mperez_csub@techteach_csub Hi Melissa, I also gre up playing the Sims, and I can see the appeal of minecraft for students. I think it's a great way to motivate students to participate. I find that students engage more when they have an external motivation versus and internal one. #EDTE4200tc9
I think classroom gamifications would be something I would enjoy as a student. I love playing videogames and it's something that motivates me. As a teacher, I could use some of the game techniques to teach history and literature. It would keep the students attention. #EDTE4200tc9
I like the idea of using EDpuzzle to enhance learning through differentiated technology. EDpuzzle allows teachers to create videos with different learners in mind. Teachers know which students completed the lesson, and if they have mastered it or need more time. #EDTE4200tc7
@mperez_csub@techteach_csub I actually never heard of IXL until this course, and I agree with you. It seems like it would be extremely useful in this capacity. #EDTE4200tc7
Accidently posted to tc5: I love creating my rubrics right on Canvas. My favorite rubric is the one we use for the English department at CSUB. I find that it breaks down the assignments so well that students understand where there's room for improvement. #EDTE4200tc6
