@ProcellJeanine@techteach_csub I agree with you that students need to understand the internet before they use it as much as they do. There are consequences for actions but being online makes it easy to forget and cyberbullying is a huge issue #EDTE4200tc12
@TaamiloMalia@techteach_csub Hi Malia, I also mentioned watching a video but I thought maybe an EdPuzzle or Kahoot! activity to accompany it would drive the message home. I agree it would be fun and engaging for them #EDTE4200tc12
@techteach_csub I think an activity like EdPuzzle going with a video describing appropriate online behavior or designing a Kahoot! game would engage students. It is an important topic because the internet is a gateway to so much but it should be a positive experience for them #EDTE4200tc12
@EBillington22 Hi Elizabeth, browsing Khan Academy's selection was really interesting. It gave me ideas for lessons and I can see how they would be useful #EDTE4200tc11
@Joooo_m17@techteach_csub Hi Joanna, if I were planning on teaching multiple subjects I would likely use the videos you recommend. Khan Academy has a lot of resources no matter the age or subject so I see a lot of value in using them #EDTE4200tc11
@techteach_csub I believe the most useful video on Khan Academy for my class would be "Coal, Steam, and the Industrial Revolution." Khan Academy has a lot of resources that would be useful for me as a teacher but this subject is difficult to understand and this video will help #EDTE4200tc11
@HopeGonzalez25@techteach_csub Hi Hope, I also really like google slides. I already use it in college so it is easy for me to think of ways I would use it in my own classroom. It would be valuable to use year after year not just once #EDTE4200tc10
@mperez_csub@techteach_csub Hi Melissa, I agree that google classroom is a really awesome tool. I chose google sites but google classroom is another tool I could see myself using in my class #EDTE4200tc10
@techteach_csub My favorite google tool so far is google sites. I would use this in my class in several ways. It could be a hub where students can find assessments and communication or could help with distance learners keeping along with lessons #EDTE4200tc10
@vflores4200@techteach_csub Hi Viviana, I didn't really enjoy https://t.co/JPzNndWNCT but I know my weaknesses and if that is something I did with my students it would be a learning process for me too. I don't see myself using it but I am open minded #EDTE4200tc9
@Valdivianando@techteach_csub I really enjoyed that task too but I do not play games so I was unfamiliar with them all. The Minecraft for education site was really interesting because I know students enjoy Minecraft and it would help engage them #EDTE4200tc9
@techteach_csub My favorite task from session 10 was 58. I enjoyed researching gamification and it led me to Minecraft for education. I am not a gamer so it opened my eyes to something I know students enjoy #EDTE4200tc9
@EBillington22 Hi Elizabeth, I really liked using rubristar to create a rubric. I agree that it is an important skill for us to add to our portfolios and one I will likely use down the road. #EDTE4200tc8
@Valdivianando@techteach_csub I also really enjoyed making the QR code scavenger hunt. It was really easy but I think it would be a fun activity that I could do with my class #EDTE4200tc8
@techteach_csub I think item 21 was my favorite and most useful task. I think knowing how to use google forms to develop assessments is extremely useful and will help me connect with my students no matter where they are #EDTE4200tc8
@mperez_csub@techteach_csub Hi Melissa, I just searched what IXL is and I agree that it would be very useful. I think it would help improve student performance but would also make the process enjoyable for students #EDTE4200tc7
@techteach_csub The article on assistive technology gave several useful tools but I believe speech synthesizers would be useful for several learning disabilities including English learners. It would likely be used during Chromebook time with headphones to eliminate distractions #EDTE4200tc7
@LauraAy77811598 @techteach_csub Hi Laura, I did not really think of using Google Classroom at first so I appreciate you mentioning it. It is very useful and having a rubric that shows the potential percentages would help make the assignment more successful #EDTE4200tc6
@techteach_csub I would most likely use Rubristar to generate a rubric. It was really easy but the different options and the categories were very useful. I can see how it would be an asset rather than creating my own from scratch #EDTE4200tc6
@mperez_csub@techteach_csub Hi Melissa, I also plan on using google slides for my lessons. It is an easy tool to use and can be used more than just once. I also think I would use Prezi but I would use that in a different way than google slides #EDTE4200tc5
