@HopeGonzalez25@techteach_csub Hi Hope. I think posters are a great idea! I had already planned on putting up motivational posters or posters that promote positivity. I think a poster that goes over citizenship is definitely needed.
@techteach_csub I think I would show my students a YouTube video that will explain netiquette and the importance of digtal citzenship. I would show a video that's fun and engaging for them to grab their attention. #EDTE4200tc12
@amartinez2422 @techteach_csub Hi Angel! I agree, I think any math video can be very useful and be integrated before or after the math lesson. Their math tutorials and lessons are very informative and in my experience, have helped me out a ton!
@techteach_csub I believe the reading and language arts based on grade level video can be very useful and be implemented in any lesson plan based in ELA/reading. #EDTE4200tc11
@LauraAy77811598 @techteach_csub Hi, Laura! Google Slides is my favorite too! I also like the variety of tools it has. One of my favorite features is the Speaker notes. I am always forgetting things so I think the sn would be very useful for me when I am giving a presentation lol. #EDTE4200tc10
@techteach_csub My favorite Google tool is Slides. I can incorporate my lesson plans/presentations on the slides and I am able to get creative with them. Slides has many features and it is easy to use. I also like that every edit I make it automatically saves my work! #EDTE4200tc10
@mperez_csub@techteach_csub Hi Melissa! I agree I would have enjoyed using Minecraft education in the classroom as a student! My daughter and her friends love it so I know it's very popular, haha. And like what Tabitha said, it can be a great motivator for students. #EDTE4200tc9
@techteach_csub So far I've only completed #55 the Hour of Code. I liked the various activities on that site. I picked a Star Wars coding game where I got to program the droids. This could be implemented to teach students how to code, collab and engage. #EDTE4200tc9
@mperez_csub@techteach_csub Hi Melissa! Twitter has been a great experience connecting with this class and I can also see the use of it to connect and collab with other educators!
@techteach_csub Favorite item: #13- I had fun with GarageBand just messing around.
Important item: #11 - To me, ClassDojo is a useful app. It will allow me to communicate with parents, and can also be a good classroom management tool with the use of its points system. #EDTE4200tc8
@Valdivianando@techteach_csub Hi! I think audio books are a great tool to help those who struggle with reading. I can see how it can accommodate visual and auditory learners. I will definitely consider the use of audio books in my classroom. I think those audio dramas can be very theatrical and fun!
@techteach_csub An assistive technology tool I believe would be most effective when differentiating would be audio books. It can help those that struggle with reading by listening and following along. It can improve vocab, pronounciations, comprehension, etc. #EDTE4200tc7
@vflores4200@alv47380102@techteach_csub Hi Evan and Viviana. I was impressed with Rubristar, but like Viviana, I thought it did appear to be a non-trusted site. I would still use Rubristar. But I'm just saying I also encountered the same thing as Viviana!
@techteach_csub I would use Rubristar. I never knew there was a generator to create rubrics and Rubristar was very easy to use! I would use a rubric for classroom activities like independent reading. #EDTE4200tc6
@aaronc_csub@techteach_csub Hi Aaron! I agree that Google slides is extremely simple. I have never used prezi before but I plan to create a presentation later for our portfolios. Sometimes I look at prezi presentations to give me ideas for a paper i may be working on, & yeah, they do seem like an adventure.
@techteach_csub I would use Google Slides for my lesson plans. It's easy to use and I can insert any texts, images, media clips, etc. It is also easy to express my creative side when using GS so I can have fun putting my lesson plans on there! #EDTE4200tc5
@T_Needham4200 Hi Tabitha! I love that ClassDojo allows communication between teachers and parents/guardians and parents/guardians are able to see their childrens progress! As a parent, CD has helped me understand and get involved in my kids academics! #EDTE4200tc4
@techteach_csub I think ClassDojo would be a perfect tool for quality classroom management with the use of its point system. I can give points out for positive behavior and classroom etiquette. This can lower the chances of disruptions and distractions in my class! #EDTE4200tc4
@aaronc_csub Hi Aaron, I like that mentioned that assessments also allow us to see how well we are teaching our students. I've never used Google Forms before. I'll have to look into it and see how it is used for assessments.
@techteach_csub I would implement informal assessments by use of Kahoot! I feel like it brings a more causal, relaxed evaluation as I am able to observe where each student stands. My students will also be engaged and having fun playing Kahoot! #EDTE4200tc3
