@T_Needham4200 I completely agree with you. Technology will be a part of their daily lives. We need to teach them to be responsible digital citizens #EDTE4200tc12
@techteach_csub There are several online resources to teach digital citizenship to students. An excellent resource is BrainPop where students can play games, complete quizzes, watch movies or code. This is important because they will be using technology daily #EDTE4200tc12
@techteach_csub I believe the most useful Kahn Academy Video is the social and emotional learning video. Kids need to be emotionally stable before they can be engaged to learn #EDTE4200tc11
@TaamiloMalia@techteach_csub Hello Malia, Google Slides is an excellent tool to use in the classroom. You can project a daily slide as morning work, presentation, or use them all day as needed. I even saw a video where a teacher used them as an ice breaker game of "this or that." #EDTE4200tc10
@techteach_csub My favorite Google tool is Google Classroom. I love how students are able to see what is due, what they have missed, and can see and respond to messages. I will implement this into my classroom as a part of their daily routine. #EDTE4200tc10
@vflores4200@techteach_csub I agree with you that https://t.co/sEWXtjVz4U is an excellent tool to build critical thinking skills. Students are the future, and they are experts when it comes to technology #EDTE4200tc9
@techteach_csub I would have enjoyed using Minecraft Education in the classroom as a student. I used to love playing SimCity and this has similar benefits. A teacher could implement Minecraft in the classroom because it enhances creativity, problem solving, and collaboration skills #EDTE4200tc9
@aaronc_csub@techteach_csub I also loved learning how to use Google Forms. I plan on using Forms to make assessments, exit tickets, surveys, and even getting to know you questions. Forms can be completed in class or from their home devices. #EDTE4200tc8
@techteach_csub My favorite item that I have posted is item #6 Create a Twitter account. This is important because this is my first experience using Twitter. I have not only been able to participate in class discussions, but will be able to collaborate with educators in the future #EDTE4200tc8
@techteach_csub A technology tool that I believe would be most effective when differentiating would be IXL. This would look like all students working to improve their current level. They receive immediate feedback & are able to see step-by-step instructions on how to solve a problem #EDTE4200tc7
@T_Needham4200 I have never created a rubric on Canvas, but I have used one for a peer review. I also liked how the rubric shows us where we need to improve #EDTE4200tc6
@techteach_csub I would create a rubric on Google Classroom. I would create a holistic rubric because I want to praise the student for what they were able to accomplish instead of pointing out what they were not #EDTE4200tc6
@T_Needham4200 Hi Tabitha! I have never had the opportunity to use Prezi. However, I am looking forward to exploring it by creating a presentation for my Tech Quest Portfolio. #EDTE4200tc5
@techteach_csub I will implement Google Slides into a lesson plan. In the classroom, I will use Google Slides daily for morning greeting slides, presentations, lessons, student assignments, and reviews #EDTE4200tc5
@T_Needham4200 I agree with you. Having parents on board is essential. ClassDojo is an excellent tool for positive reinforcement and communication with parents. #EDTE4200tc4
@techteach_csub The classroom management tool that would be most effective is ClassDojo. I would implement this in the classroom on the first day of school to both the students & their parents. I love this tool because the students are able to earn points for positive behavior #EDTE2000tc4
@T_Needham4200 I agree with you on using Kahoot as a fun game to use for an assessment. I have even used it in classes here at CSUB. Kids love technology and video games so why not have them having fun while learning and reviewing. #EDTE4200tc3
@techteach_csub I think Kahoot is an excellent assessment tool to assess student understanding. Not only does it shed light on areas that need to be re-taught, it also brings a little sense of competition among the students. #EDTE200tc3
