@UsingLyft In my opinion, the evidence tends to be faulty and tinged with myopia. I gave a hypothetical about ancient Egyptians vs. Germanic tribes. In an iq test to , the Germanic tribes would likely score poorer on average than Egyptians. Is that because of genetics?
@UsingLyft What is the random sample based on? What does individual group mean? And what evidence is that genetics causes the divergence as opposed to something else? Did the ancient Egyptians have higher iq than Germanic tribes? If so, why?
@UsingLyft Someone could believe in tests that measure intelligence on an individual basis but deny that there is sufficient evidence that those tests can be extrapolated on a group basis.
@wil_da_beast630 The most formative ages of child development occur before 5 years of age, particularly 0-2. What are your thoughts on feral children? If I adopted a feral child at age 3, would he likely “catch up” to a child with normal upbringing.
@gran1te_mtn What ages were the kids adopted at? If a person adopts a 7 year old from foster care, then that would influence the child’s behavior. The average age of adoption in the US is 6. The most critical age of development is 0-2.
@spencerpratt This is silly. You can’t compare humans to dogs. If that was was the case, when a person bites someone once or more than once, they should be euthanized
@capitalismandf1@gcochran99 What defines intelligence and when did the genes spread? During the time of nation states where only the elite held power? During times of peasantry? Serfdom? The black plague? What about power, wealth, and size? Your words devoid of any context or understanding of human history
@jonatanpallesen@BretWeinstein Humans are apex predators—an analogy to frogs doesn’t fit. The human brain has also shrunk 10%, does that mean we’re dumber? This whole topic starts with a conclusion in mind.
@Okoro_Dior Wolverine’s skeletal frame has admantium, not just the bone claws. Magneto could control or otherwise stop any part of Wolverine’s body including his hands, arms, and torso.
@mattbilinsky I understand the plain language should control, but i have some difficulty believing a Los Angeles Superior Court judge will allow the remaining trustees sans Jeanie to effectively be held hostage when the circumstances underlying the 2017 agreement are drastically different.
@AnaKasparian@IamSean90 Pointless semantics. Murder is murder. There are different types or categories of murder, but that does not make it not murder.
