Hey @rauchg I flew all the way to SF for the World's Shortest Hackathon back in January last year. I have won 5+ hackathons when I was in school, won the Anthropic Developer challenge and have launched two startups with Next.js as part of my stack (https://t.co/JpwrqvXyMN and https://t.co/Y7XOl8UbGv) that both have real users, one of which is profitable. I spend almost every day trying to get better and learn something new.
I'm applying for the CI/CD SWE role at Vercel and would love if you would give me a chance to interview. I'm from a small town of 1,200 people and have fought tooth and nail to learn the things needed to get to where I am today. I know that I'd be able to provide a ton of value to Vercel but just need the chance to prove it.
Not sure if you'll see this but hey, screw it :)
🚨 BREAKING: Scott Bessent says $2,000 tariff checks from President Trump would go to families making less than $100,000 per year
Plus, MAJOR tax refunds coming in 2026 because of Trump's new law👏
"$2K rebate - that would be for families making less than $100,000. We have not [decided]. It's in discussion."
"The other thing - what we did with the tax bill is financing the president's no tax on tips, overtime - the big refunds you will see are the result of THAT. That's ANOTHER payment to the American people." 🇺🇸
I’ve had multiple romantic soulmates. What they don’t tell you about spiritual connections is that free will still exists. You can have insane chemistry, constant synchronicities, and feel the universe pulling you together, but if they’re not emotionally ready or willing to grow with you, it won’t work. And that’s okay. Some soul contracts are meant to teach, not to last. Don’t mourn what ended—honor what it awakened. The lesson prepares you for the partner who chooses you in every lifetime.
I don't know how it will go for Elon, but for midwit atheists like me (now Christian), there are stages:
The first realization is that Christianity *works.* This leads to statements like "We need religion." When people say this, they mean other people need it, not them. "The plebs need it."
The second realization is that Christianity is *True*. Metaphorically true, the way Jordan Peterson decscribes it. It will work for you personally. It's not just something "people" in general need, but something you need. It's a system, a philosophy.
The third realization is that Christianity is *literally* true. The resurrection happened as written in the Gospels. Such a miracle would be no obstacle for the Creator of the universe. The spiritual world is real. You have a heavenly Father. And he loves you so much he sacrificed his son for you.
For me the journey happened from reading Jordan Peterson > C.S. Lewis > G.K. Chesterton, then finally the Gospels themselves. How did it happen for you?
@dhh Absolutely insane. On my YouTube the actual podcast was the 19th result on the page when searching for “Joe Rogan Donald Trump”
The subtle censorship is crazy
It’s shameful that U.S. taxpayers are literally paying for the salaries of Ukrainian government employees, yet our own citizens in Maui are left to fend for themselves after the fires leveled over 2,200 buildings. Another example of America Last policies at work.
The corrupt federal police just won’t stop until they’ve achieved their mission: eliminate Trump. This is un-American & I commit to pardoning Trump for this indictment. Donald Trump isn’t the cause of what happened on Jan 6. The real cause was systematic & pervasive censorship of citizens in the year leading up to it. If you tell people they can’t speak, that’s when they scream. If you tell people they can’t scream, that’s when they tear things down. If we fail to admit the truth, Jan 6 will just be a preview of far worse to come & I don’t want to see us get there.
