I am pleased to share that I am joining the Computer Science Department at Trent University in Peterborough, Canada, as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor.
Excited about this new journey in my academic career. I look forward to contributing to the Software Engineering community.
(1/3) If you are interested in test minimisation in a continuous integration context, this paper was just accepted at @ICSEconf 2023:
"ATM: Black-box Test Case Minimization based on Test Code Similarity and Evolutionary Search", Rongqi Pan, Taher Ghaleb, Lionel Briand.
If you are interested in flaky test cases, how to detect them without having to execute them or resorting to complex program analysis, here is a solution, just accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, based on language models (deep learning):
After many pandemic-induced delays, my group at uOttawa is somewhat complete ... Nearly all current positions are filled. I am glad to be surrounded by these talented, young, and friendly people. That sort of compensates for being grumpy and older. ;-)
“Enhanced Visualization of Method Invocations by Extending Reverse-engineered Sequence Diagrams” by @TaherGhaleb, Khalid Aljasser and Musab A. Alturki #VISSOFT2020
@vale_lenarduzzi@UniLUT@LUTsoftware@ComputingSc_TAU @CloweeGroup @jadatascience I find "reference" has a different meaning as well.
In SE, we use "reference" for the variable that points to a memory address of another variable.
In ML, we use "reference" for the category used to compare with other categories.

I'll be giving two talks about my Ph.D. research @ICSEconf:
1st: Long durations of CI builds (Friday 3:48 PM - UTC) https://t.co/BKwZ6DGeGz
2nd: Noise in CI build breakages (Saturday 1:05 AM - UTC) https://t.co/GF8WHe7zo0
Your questions/feedback is greatly appreciated. #icse20

Using our kids' toys, we have created the following two mock-ups to replicate @QueensEngineer's logo:
