Trump told reporters he is unsure whether Russia violated the energy ceasefire. The reporter gave him the fact: Russia attacked Ukraine overnight.

His answer was a shrug. Then he blamed both sides.

The man announced the truce on October 11 and said both sides agreed. Kyiv held fire on Russian refineries.

Russia launched 121 drones. Now the White House position is that violations came from both directions, as if Ukrainian cities bombed themselves.

The deeper line is worse. Trump says Putin wants a deal more than Zelensky.

He says Washington must force Zelensky to want a deal. Not Moscow.

Not the state that invaded, annexed territory, and keeps hitting civilian infrastructure. The pressure goes on the country defending itself.

This protects Russian refining capacity and hands the Kremlin a political gift. Moscow gets the alibi.

Kyiv is being asked to surrender its advantage. The asymmetry is not hidden anymore.
