The board of @IntAdsSoc has approved the election of 4 new fellows of the society. @DianaCSAzevedo 🇧🇷, @Llewellyn_Phil 🇫🇷, Jim Ritter 🇺🇸, @Webleypa 🇦🇺. The society recognizes their outstanding contributions to #adsorption science and technology
The best PhD thesis award for 2022 is awarded to @wilkins_ns (@UAlberta) for his work on breakthrough techniques to measure multicomponent equilibria and diffusion measurements for #CO2capture and natural gas separations.

It was exciting to present my work on Direct Air Capture in #AIChEAnnual. The adsorption and education sessions were fun to attend. Hope to see you all in Orlando next year :) P.S: There was also a LASP reunion in Phoenix!
Impressions from #IASWebinar by @GeorgeShimizu2 on #MOFs for #CCS. He emphasized the synergy between materials+processes, working with multiple partners across scales, and how a successful material should check-box multiple features, not all related to the isotherm.
@DavidDanaci And the heat effect as well. Note that this is not a fit, and the breakthrough curves are fairly predictive. The heat transfer property is unknown, which is fitted. Some changes could be the reason
Excited to share my work for the #IASTwitterPoster Conference: Adsorption Equilibria and Dynamic Column Breakthrough Studies of CO2 and N2 on CALF-20, a magical #MOFs for #CCS
Hello, World! For my first tweet, I would like to share my work on “Structuring a Water-Stable MOF for Carbon Capture Processes” as part of the #IASTwitterPoster conference. Questions and comments are welcome! #Adsorption#MOF#CCS2020
@rafa_morales90 The isosteric heat of adsorption (HoA) is a function of loading, and we can estimate it using the experimental isotherms from two different temperatures. At a certain loading q*, we can find the pressure P1 and P2 from the isotherms at the temperature T1 and T2 (attached figure)
Fantastic adsorbents and where to find them, & their performance limits for #CO2 capture now possible through 🍁MAPLE (Machine assisted Adsorption Process Learning and Emulation framework). Read it here➡️https://t.co/4J5btkSFGM (preprint) #IASTwitterPoster#MOF#ML#optimization
I am thrilled to discuss an interesting behaviour in the CO2 and H2O competitive adsorption on CALF-20, and experimental humid post-combustion CO2 capture by vacuum swing adsorption at #AIChE2020. DM me to get the link for the live session, tomorrow morning, Nov 19, 8-9 AM PST.
