Today’s St Louis recipients of signing stops and bookmarks, prior to the lovely @novelneighbor event, were the fine B&N folk in @BnLadue, @BNWestCounty, @BNFenton, and @ChesterfieldBN, and my fellow geeks at Chesterfield’s @halfpricebooks, who steered me toward book loot. Thanks!
@ThomasSanders Thomas: idk I just feel really sad lately
Remus: hey buddy, you know what would cheer you up?
Thomas: please don't show me your butthole
Remus, already turned around: this is MY butthole
I grew up in Texas where I was often bullied by white kids. Don’t talk about it much. They’d wait for me after school so they could taunt and hit me on my way home. Once, when I dared call them racist, one of them said, “I’m not racist, I’m just bored.” That really stuck with me.
today. for the first time in a long time. i checked on the skittle under the fridge. i’m happy to report it’s still there. minding its business. doing the best it can. we should all strive for such an existence
Jamie D'Agostino's poetry class commemorated “The Big Fire” of 1/28/1924 (when students ran into the burning library to save books, throwing them down into bedsheets other students ran to grab from their rooms) by writing poems, stuffing them in books, and look out below!
remember in high school when my friend was like hey describe the workings of your brain as an animal, mine would be a badger or some shit and all i could come up with was bees. just a fuckton of bees in there
