"is this on android ?"
that's the #1 question an ios dev with thousands of downloads keeps getting
this is why i went android first . more people ask for it , way fewer devs bother shipping it
and for me android earns more than ios . nobody believes that till they try
web search for ai apps just got stupid cheap
deepseek now sells search + fetch for $0.75 per 1000 requests
for indie devs adding ai features that's huge . search used to be the expensive part
the cost of shipping an "ai app" keeps going to zero . distribution doesn't 😂
apple just made hidden features in your binary their own rule (2.5.19) . forgotten debug switches = rejection or worse
surviving google play terminations taught me one thing : stores don't care about intent
strip every debug flag before you ship 💀

Apple can now delete your whole developer account for a feature hidden in your binary. On Friday it became a separate rule, 2.5.19.
Apple already rejected one of my apps for this. I'd left three testing switches in the release build: screenshots-mode, slow-entitlement, UnlockedMockPurchases. Nobody could reach them from the App Store, but Apple wrote that they "appear to have been intentionally hidden".
Now I run strings on every archive before I upload.
imagine losing every domain you own because of one email 💀
12 years with namecheap . he missed a 72h id verification email while away and they disabled everything
i run 3 seo sites doing ~$200/day . that could be me
go check your registrar inbox today . not tomorrow
pov : you spend 4 days building a library just so the android camera opens in one line 💀
camera . open { picture -> }
most android dev thing ever . we don't fix the platform , we wrap it until it stops hurting
@artembolotov@twinkey_app once your account builds some trust with google ,
updates start going through in under 3 hours for me
first few releases are always the slow ones . is this one of your early updates ?
@matthias_mrc disagree a bit , you dont need to know full code , you need to know when its time to hire someone who does . vibe code the MVP , hire when real users and money start
i waited 5 months to put my app on google play after iOS 💀
now android make more money than iOS for me . i really underestimated it
android is so underrated for indie devs
my 3 SEO sites make around $200/day with zero ads , slow but it's mine . google can change everything with one update tho
keep waiting on SEO or start paying for ads to go faster ?
usually its google and epic who say no to indie devs , today a indie game studio said no to fortnite because of AI . funny how the power change !? https://t.co/XLs1OwmPZo
A ULTRAKILL x FORTNITE COLLAB IS LIKELY NEVER HAPPENING DUE TO AI
A fan asked New Blood to bring Ultrakill to Fortnite and they responded "No they use AI"
A developer who says he's not a game dev built Riposte, a browser FPS, with Claude Code and three.js in about a month.
→ Weapons, characters and maps are all generated in code
→ No Blender, no imported models
→ Physics on props, cloth and water
→ Built to run on PC, phone and controller
The cost breakdown is the useful part:
→ Started on the €20/month plan and kept hitting limits
→ Switched many tasks to Sonnet 5.5 to stretch it
→ Moved to the €90/month plan in October and never hit the limit
→ No extra credits bought
One tip: Claude Code started spinning up parallel agents for everything, so he told it to stop in the project instructions.
It's free to play in the browser.

indie game devs now cancel their own demo so AI can't clone the game before launch 💀 same reason i stopped showing my apps , copying became too cheap https://t.co/Ucosps7sJq
A developer canceled a planned public demo over worries that AI could copy the game and release a clone first.
Drunken Goddess Reflux was set for a public demo on October 19. Alliance Arts will instead run a closed playtest with restrictions on sharing and streaming.
The studio says the issue goes beyond piracy. They fear players could study the demo’s gameplay and presentation, then use AI to clone it
“We are concerned that… works imitating or replicating this game’s presentation and gameplay could be quickly produced using AI or other tools and released ahead of the game’s launch.”
