There are still many skilled legal immigrant workers in the United States who are judged based on their country of birth rather than merit. Despite being more qualified, they are often unable to qualify for many jobs compared to other immigrants in the same category.

This kind of discrimination is not only unfair, but it also forces employers to make hiring decisions based on birthplace rather than skills, which hurts America’s competitiveness. National origin discrimination is explicitly prohibited under the Civil Rights Act, yet our immigration system continues to enforce country-based limits (country caps) when skilled workers apply for permanent residency from within the U.S.

@realDonaldTrump should take executive action to ensure that Adjustment of Status (AOS) applications—which are filed from within the United States—for employment-based immigrants who meet all qualifications and have an approved immigration petition are processed on a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) basis.

If challenged, let the case reach the Supreme Court. Either the Court will uphold fairness, or it will finally bring much-needed attention to an issue that has long been ignored.

@POTUS, it's time to ensure that merit truly determines opportunities in America.

Legal law allows it. Immigrants make America great with their contributions. People who are here for legally for more than 20 years should be given respect.

@vsyo @odigroup Why noncitizens should fund for asylum applications?Give EAD for 10 years making it easy process for GC backlogs & USCIS. Unnecessary documentation work for USCIS to increase backlog. It will give more clarity & difference between H1b vs long term residents.

People are legally here for more than 20 years but ignored. 1 million GC issued not as per priority & they spread misinformation above law.

Not sure they want to accept /decline as permits renewed to be called temporary status for years wait.But 1 million annual immigrant visas issued every year w/o considering already here. POTUS thought?

@Maraba112 Do you know immigration system issues 1 million immigrant visa in Family based, Employment based, Diversity & Asylum every year? In that employment based are just 14%. So actually it is 140,000 + 85,000. But all other categories will take American jobs.

@raj_karnatak Since GC backlog is huge & it will grow year by year because of discriminatory country caps in skilled visa.If there is policy change or law to fix this,giving visa waiver after 10 years of legal stay. Issuance of EAD/AP on the basis of approved I-140 doesn’t mean issuance of GC.

Yes please DO.
- Remove country-limits for issuing GreenCards. Because India-born applicants need to wait decades in #greencardbacklog to get work-permits let alone GC's.
- Some may argue.. Oh no, we cannot do that. All GC's will go to Indians. We are NOT asking fpr priority but to follow the natural/usual process "first come first serve" that is applied for all visa types.
-Country-limits are not there other visa types.. but only for GC's.

Would you house them in your house along with your family?

Would you be willing to take care of their families ahead of yours?

Would you want government to give them EAD and green cards before you?

@cyrusmehta They are still underpaid due to GC backlog status. H1b Renewal after 6 years creates depression due to no growth, visa & travel issues, job security, family separation etc. Getting EAD + AP is quick solution.Why H1b renewal is required when workers are here for more than 6 years?

In this situation, America will loose taxes and talent. Check online information how many jobs created outside America (95%) Vs in America (5%) in last 3 decades.

Almost two million individuals currently working in America are denied US permanent residency or the ability to travel based solely on their ethnicity.

If they die, their kids are deported.

When their kids grow up, they are deported if they don’t get their own visa.
