Are they mourning the death of Neet students or enjoying in a rave party?
India wants to become a $10 trillion economy.
But CBSE could not protect a password.
And no.
This is not a joke.
18.5 lakh Class 12 students appeared for CBSE Board Exams in 2026.
Their answer sheets were handed to a company with 51 employees.
A teenager reportedly broke into the system within minutes.
This was not innovation.
It was institutional comedy.
CBSE launched On-Screen Marking.
OSM.
The promise?
Transparency.
Accuracy.
Speed.
The result?
Swapped answer sheets.
Blurred scans.
Missing pages.
Portal crashes.
Embarrassment.
Some students opened photocopies of their answer books.
They found someone else's handwriting under their roll number.
Now look at the scale.
18.5 lakh students.
26 countries.
7,574 exam centres.
120 subjects.
98 lakh answer booklets.
40 crore pages.
77,000 teachers logging in.
All processed in 10 days.
And managed by a company smaller than many CBSE schools.
Then came the tender.
Two companies qualified.
TCS.
600,000 employees.
57 years of credibility.
$29 billion revenue.
And Coempt Edu Teck.
51 employees.
Guess who won.
Not the company trusted by banks.
Airlines.
Governments.
Stock exchanges.
The other one.
But there is a twist.
Coempt was once called Globarena Technologies.
The same company linked to Telangana's 2019 Intermediate Exam fiasco.
3.8 lakh students received wrong marks.
Toppers became failures.
3 lakh sought reverification.
20 students died by suicide in eight days.
Months later.
Globarena changed its name.
The memories remained.
Then came the cybersecurity masterpiece.
OTP verification on the browser.
Not the server.
Password resets without old passwords.
Examiner IDs editable from browser storage.
And a master password sitting inside public source code.
No encryption.
No hashing.
Just there.
A School project is much secured and Scalable than this.
Like keeping jewellery outside a jewellery shop with a sign saying:
"Please don't touch."
CERT-In was reportedly informed in February 2026.
The platform went live anyway.
77,000 teacher logins.
40 crore pages.
No fix.
70,000 answer books required rescanning.
15,000 shifted back to physical evaluation.
The digital revolution quietly asked for revaluation.
Then officials defended the system.
And later called IITs to help fix it.
Which is a bit like crashing a bus and then inviting ISRO to explain gravity.
Now comes the uncomfortable question.
TCS was on the shortlist.
TCS lost.
A company carrying the baggage of a past exam controversy won.
How?
Who approved it?
Who reviewed the risks?
Who signed the file?
Nobody seems eager to answer.
NEET chaos.
Now CBSE chaos.
Every year we hear the same slogans.
Student-centric.
Technology-driven.
Future-ready.
Wonderful words.
Terrible execution.
India does not have a shortage of talent.
India has a shortage of accountability.
Mr. Education Minister, will you answer?
Students are uncovering marksheet errors.
Students are exposing alleged vulnerabilities in the OSM system.
Students are scrutinising the tender process.
When students are forced to become investigators and auditors of their own exam process, something is seriously wrong.
Are no heads going to roll for the CBSE mess?
Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji... please listen to your children's cries @narendramodi@PMOIndia
I am Tanmay Kashyap, a CBSE Class 12 student, writing this with a completely broken heart and tears that won't stop.
Sir, today was Mann Ki Baat… we were desperately hoping you would finally speak about the CBSE OSM blunder that has destroyed lakhs of students. But you didn’t say a single word.
Because of blurry OSM sheets, crashing portals, overcharging and faulty marking, our board percentages are ruined. College admissions have already started and JOSAA counselling is about to begin lakhs of us may have to drop an entire year.
I lost my close friend to suicide. Many more students are attempting the same. We gave two years of our blood and soul... and you remain silent.
Sir, we are your children. We never harmed you. We just studied hard. Please... with folded hands and a dying heart, I beg you - speak about the OSM tragedy. Award grace marks of 20 in all subjects so we can still save our futures.
Don't let more lives be lost. Please help us Sir... we have no one else.
With folded hands and a broken soul,
A devastated Cbse student

PM Modi's #MannKiBaat came & went without a mention of the NEET, CBSE & CUET mess.
Let's not pretend this is beneath the Prime Minister's attention. We have seen the full communication apparatus mobilised over far smaller matters. Photo ops, speeches, tweets & inaugurations for projects of purely local significance.
When millions of students are affected, however, the country is expected to accept silence.
Strange priorities for a nation that calls its youth its greatest asset.
THIS IS KHAN SIR DESTROYING PAPER LEAK EXCUSES 🔥
REPORTER: NEET paper will now be transported by Air Force.
KHAN SIR 🎯: But malaria cannot be treated with typhoid injection.
REPORTER: Meaning?
KHAN SIR: The problem is not transport. The paper is leaking where it is printed and prepared.
REPORTER: What should happen?
KHAN SIR 🔥: Punish those who leaked it. Poor and middle-class students only ask one thing from the government: conduct exams honestly.
I seriously doubt whether CBSE's evaluation and re-evaluation process truly considered conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and alternative correct approaches, or whether it was limited to strict matching with a predefined OSM marking scheme.
Many students appear to have lost marks despite writing conceptually correct answers simply because their responses did not match specific keywords or phrases. If this is the case, it contradicts CBSE's stated focus on competency, analytical ability, and conceptual learning.
What is even more concerning is the apparent difference in evaluation standards compared to previous years, without any prior communication to students. Such unplanned and student-unfriendly changes at a crucial stage of academic life can directly affect higher education opportunities and career prospects.
I request CBSE, the Education Ministry, and the Government of India to carefully review these concerns and ensure that logically correct and conceptually sound answers receive fair consideration. Students are not asking for favors or refunds—they are asking for a fair evaluation. Please take decisions in the interest of students and their future.

Sixty six percent of Indians now say Dharmendra Pradhan must quit after the NEET leak and CBSE chaos, yet Narendra Modi shields him. When almost half the country directly blames the Education Minister, it is not a mistake, it is a crime against students and parents trust.
Dear parents, remove your kids from these schools. They dont really care about your kids or their marks or their future. All they need is fees and revaluation fee.
Instructions have been issued by the Ed ministry and CBSE to schools to record videos of students praising the on screen marking system and post them on school social media handles. After completely mismanaging the entire system, CBSE has now shifted into shameless PR damage control mode, as if manufactured appreciation can erase public anger, confusion, and institutional failure.
Forcing schools and students into staged praise campaigns after such widespread criticism is honestly pathetic. Instead of answering serious questions, fixing loopholes, and taking accountability, they are busy manufacturing positive optics for social media. This is not how an education system behaves. This is how insecure institutions try to bury failure under propaganda.
