தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் திருச்செந்தூர் சாலையில் உள்ள ஆத்தூருக்கு கிழக்கே 6 km தொலைவில் உள்ளது எனது ஊர் புன்னைக்காயல். தாமிரபரணி ஆறு எங்கள் ஊரில் தான் கடலில் கலக்கிறது . மூன்று பக்கம் தாமிரபரணி ஆறும் ஒரு பக்கம் கடலும் சூழ்ந்த தீவு போன்ற நிலப்பரப்பு கொண்டது எங்கள் ஊர். 95 சம மழை பெய்த காயல்பட்டினத்திற்கு மிக அருகில் உள்ளது. தற்போது பெருமழையினாலும் வெள்ளத்தினாலும் கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஊர் முழுதும் வெள்ளம் சூழ்ந்துள்ளது. மீட்பு பணிக்காக இது வரை யாரும் வரவில்லை என்றும் ஊர் மக்கள் யாரையும் தொடர்பு கொள்ள முடியவில்லை என்றும் செய்தி வந்துள்ளது. ஊர் மக்கள் சிலர் திருச்செந்தூர் வரை படகில் வந்து ஃபோன் சார்ஜ் செய்து முதல் கமென்டில் உள்ள இக்காணொளியை அனுப்பியுள்ளனர் .

இது வரை ஊர் மக்களே படகுகளைக் கொண்டு தாழ்வான பகுதிகளில் உள்ள மக்களை மேடான பகுதிகளுக்கு கொண்டு வந்துள்ளனர். நேற்று இரவு 12 மணிக்கு மேல் ஊருக்குள் நீர் மட்டம் வெகுவாக உயர்ந்துள்ளது . ஊரில் உள்ள மளிகை கடையில் உள்ள பொருட்களைக் கொண்டு ஊர் மக்கள் கூடி எல்லோருக்கும் சமையல் செய்து வருகின்றனர். ஆனால் இது போதுமானது அல்ல . மீட்பு படையினர் உடனடியாக புன்னைக்காயல் விரைய வேண்டும். அரசு உதவி எண்களையும் தொடர்பு கொள்ள முயற்சி செய்து வருகிறேன்.

மீட்பு படையினருடன் தொடர்பில் உள்ள நண்பர்கள் உதவுமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.
