Wadala’s Prati Pandharpur – A 400-Year-Old Tradition
Did you know? The Vitthal temple in Wadala, fondly known as Prati Pandharpur, traces its origins to over 400 years ago.
Legend says a group of devotees from the Koli and Agri communities were on their wari to Pandharpur when their Guru injured his foot while bathing in the Chandrabhaga river. As others entered the river to help him, they discovered a divine Vitthal idol. Following the Guru’s instructions, they brought the idol to Wadala and built a small temple, where Sant Tukaram himself is believed to have performed the pranpratishtha in the year 1614.
Even today, lakhs of devotees gather here during Ashadhi Ekadashi

A harsh truth - Not generalisation, just observations ✍🏾
Indian parents in their 60s today are the loneliest generation we’ve ever produced❤️🩹
They raised us to fly. Now they sit in big empty homes waiting for us to land back. There is a quiet ritual happening in lakhs of Indian homes right now.
An ageing father, sitting at his desk with a small notebook. In it, dates and timings every video call his son made over the past year. 47 calls. Average duration 11 minutes.
He isn’t complaining. He is just keeping count. The way you do when something matters.
That image won’t leave me.
These are parents who never asked for much. They cooked for joint families their whole lives. Hosted relatives every weekend. Sent their children to coaching, college, abroad. Paid every fee. Made every sacrifice.
And then one day the house went silent.
The same house that had four people, then three, then two, then one most weekdays, because the wife is travelling to take care of the grandchild in Bangalore or the US.
They never tell you any of this on the call. They ask about your work. Your wife. The kid’s school. The weather in your city.
They never say “I miss you.” Because they’re from a generation that didn’t use those words even when their own parents were alive.
So they keep a notebook instead.
If your parents are in another city, please don’t wait for festivals to visit.
Show up on a Tuesday. For no reason. Stay for the weekend. Eat what amma cooks. Sit with nanna and watch the news without scrolling on your phone.
The notebook in their drawer will quietly add another entry.
And one day, you’ll wish you had added more. 🙏
Is driving an EV in the rain for 30 mins a "Customer Fault"?
My barely 4-month-old @VinFastofficial@VinFastIN EV died completely on the highway after its very first exposure to rain. Now they’re refusing my warranty and blaming me. A total nightmare. #VinFast#EVIndia 1/6
Dear President @realDonaldTrump
Jai Maharashtra,
The author of this tweet who is a MP, is an accused in a scam, where he was in jail for a considerable period of time. The case is still going on in courts.
The recent Bengal elections, where BJP won convincingly is a big relief to the people from the terror & killings of the regime of @MamataOfficial . The people have firmly rejected the militant maoist & islamic jihad ideologies & elected a nationalist government.
@RahulGandhi who is the leader of opposition & Mr. Raut follows him more than his party leader, has released a video before the Bengal elections accusing Mamata Banerjee of widespread corruption & murders. So Mr. Raut is contradicting himself.
India had 5 state elections recently, out of which Opposition emerged victorious in 2, so falsely accusing the institutions of the country when they lose is a favourite pastime of the opposite in the country.
Mr. Raut is a very naughty person & he has broken his own party on behalf of someone. For the upcoming elections in USA, he can ask his leader Udhav Thackeray to stand for the elections, he is real naughty.
Meanwhile we accept your congratulations & please consider his points, when you congratulate BJP in future.
Thank you for attention to this matter 🙏🙏
@rushikesh_agre_ The best use case of this Missing Link was today's opening to the public but the government missed this opportunity. Disappointed with the overall management.
There is a lot of discussion on social media about rising #temperatures, but many of these conversations tend to overlook basic #climatology. It is important to understand that #summer is a natural and well-established seasonal phase, not an anomaly or an unexpected event.
From a climatological perspective, April, May, and early June (until the onset of the monsoon) represent the hottest period of the year across large parts of India, especially over interior #Maharashtra and much of central, northern, and eastern regions. This is not a recent phenomenon—it has been consistently observed for decades, supported by long-term meteorological records.
For cities like #Pune and #Nashik, the long-term climatological average maximum temperature during peak summer is around 38°C. Therefore, temperatures reaching 40°C or slightly higher fall well within the expected natural variability of the regional climate and should not be immediately considered abnormal.
This seasonal heating is primarily driven by the apparent northward movement of the Sun, scientifically referred to as the Uttarayan phase. As the Sun progresses toward the Tropic of Cancer, solar insolation over the Indian subcontinent increases significantly.
By May, many locations experience the “zero shadow day” phenomenon, when the Sun is nearly overhead at local noon. This leads to maximum solar heating, making April and May climatologically the peak summer months.
In addition, this period is often dominated by #anticyclonic circulation, which promotes subsidence (sinking air). This process suppresses cloud formation, enhances clear skies, and results in hotter and drier conditions, further intensifying surface temperatures.
For example, in #Nagpur, the normal average maximum temperature in May is around 43°C. Hence, temperatures occasionally rising to 45–46°C are also within the natural range of variability for that region.
In this context, experiencing 40–45°C temperatures during April to June across India is not unusual, but rather a direct outcome of its geographical location and seasonal solar dynamics—something that has been occurring for centuries.
Therefore, high temperatures during this period are a fundamental characteristic of the regional climate system, not an exception.
It is also important to recognize that summer plays a crucial role in India’s broader climate dynamics. Intense heating over the landmass leads to the formation of low-pressure systems, which are essential for the onset and advancement of the Indian Summer #Monsoon.
Without this pre-monsoon heating phase, the monsoon circulation would be significantly weaker. In that sense, summer is not just another season—it is a key driver of India’s hydrological cycle, agriculture, and overall economy.
In conclusion, summer, monsoon, and winter are all integral components of Earth’s natural climate system. Interpreting every instance of high temperature as climate change, without understanding baseline climatology, can lead to misconceptions. A balanced understanding of both short-term weather variability and long-term climate patterns is essential.
Some comparisons are often made suggesting that #Dubai is cooler than India. However, during June to September, temperatures there frequently exceed 45°C. Similarly, several parts of Europe experience 40°C or higher during July and August, whereas India benefits from the moderating influence of the monsoon during that period.

He was inches away from unravelling entire plot of 26/11 which was being hatched by Pakistanis living inside India and living outside India.
He had infiltrated into the rank and file on behalf of military intelligence and only mistake he did was unlike what Doval character told in movie to his agent that show patience with intel till we get a nationalistic govt, he trusted the authorities to act.
They acted.. not on terrorists but on him as authorities themselves were deeply involved in plot to paint it as Hindu terror and finish off RSS, VHP, BJP, Modi, Yogi etc.
They had even sourced kalawa for Ajmal Kasab, had got entire plot of Saffron terror nicely mapped using a jihadi author named Aziz Burney and had hired services of Daad khaj Khujli master Moiz Butt whose Pappu son had already helped terrorist David Headley do recce of all terror sites.
Diggy of congress was hired to do PRopaganda and Italian and lungi were ready to tell US all about saffron terror.
Col Purohit was picked up by police under dubious Kurkure and another infamous cop.
Col Purohit was tortured like Shambaji Maharaj by Aurangzebi Kurkure and his naik’s were plucked.
Pakistan and conglus were waiting for their biggest heist and then from nowhere Hutatma Tukaram Ombale decided to sacrifice his life like Ghatotkacha to save Hindus and Bharat. He caught hold of Samir Chaudhary and didn’t let him die with that name and world got to know he was Ajmal Kasab.
Col Purohit lost a decade and more.
He was not first victim of conglu conspiracy to frame nationalists.
Nambi Narayanan was framed by same foreign led elements and Oomen Chandy played major role to frame him to derail Indian atmabirbharta in space rocket and missile technology. Today Gandhy log celebrate Chandy as if he was some hero when he was just a fulminant sick man.
Then who knows about Dilip Singh Judeo.
A tribal king who fought against evangelists and naxals in hinterland of India protecting tribals from naxals and child molesting soul rippers in frock. Conglus using Tehelka and their chief sex predator Tarun Tejpal framed him in sting operation.
Poor warrior died a broken man but today his son is doing unfinished job of his illustrious father to reclaim India.
Then they have tried framing Modi (Multiple methods and now Madhu jaal), Amit Shah, Himanta etc
Col Purohit deserves a Padma Bhushan and an apology from nation.
He is our hero.
Nambi sir got one and also a movie. Someone has to write a script on Col Purohit and also give it a celebratory ending with Kurkure going to hell by Bullets fired by his own team member from Pakistan and others who framed him meeting a gory end.
Humans need hope and optimism.
Let Col Purohit story have a positive end..

“Oracle laid me off.
But the law is trying to finish me.”
— A Man with a broken smile
👉
Arjun Mehta was the guy every engineering student wanted to be.
•Tech Lead at Oracle
•₹35 LPA package
•Stock options, onsite hopes, stable life
Everything was smooth… except his marriage.
His wife, Ritika, also in IT, hadn’t lived with him for months. No kids, no responsibilities — yet she slapped Arjun with:
•A false 498A dowry harassment case
•₹45,000 per month maintenance
•A ₹4 crore alimony demand
She earned well herself, but the court battle had turned into a power game.
Still, Arjun managed.
Taxes + rent + EMIs + 45k maintenance — he survived because Oracle paid well.
Then came the mail that changed everything.
Not from police.
Not from court.
Not from his lawyer.
From Oracle.
Subject line: Organizational Restructuring – Role Impacted
Like thousands globally, Arjun was just another name in the Oracle 2026 layoffs.
Pure business decision.
No performance problem.
Just numbers.
Just corporate restructuring.
Just bad timing.
He stared at the screen, numb.
A severance package.
A thank-you note.
A laptop surrender date.
The first thought wasn’t his career.
The first thought wasn’t his savings.
The first thought wasn’t even his family.
It was the court order.
“Maintenance shall be paid before the 10th of every month…”
Suddenly, the same ₹45,000 that was manageable with a 35 LPA job now became a death sentence.
Because Indian law is cruel to men in one specific way:
If you fail to pay maintenance —
you can be jailed.
No income?
No job?
No mercy.
He wasn’t afraid of losing his home.
He wasn’t afraid of losing his car.
He wasn’t afraid of starting over.
He was afraid of going to jail for not paying a woman who filed fake cases against him.
A criminal for being unemployed.
A debtor for being laid off.
And then her lawyer filed a petition:
“Non-payment of maintenance. Issue arrest warrant.”
Arjun’s fought hard:
•Showed severance letter
•Showed bank statements
•Showed job applications
•Showed zero-income status
But the judiciary doesn’t care.
The judge said mechanically:
“Maintenance is not optional.
Pay or face consequences.”
Arjun walked out of the courtroom feeling smaller than he ever felt in life.
A man who once wrote code for global servers
…was now begging the court to not send him to jail
…for failing to pay reverse dowry to a wife who left him and filed fake cases.
He smiled a broken smile:
“Oracle laid me off.
But the law is trying to finish me.”
This is the story of thousands of men —
their jobs may end because of economic layoffs, but their freedom ends because of laws that assume a man must pay, even when he cannot breathe.😢

Dhurandhar is a Bollywood film
Ideally Amitabh Bachchan should have praised it...
But India’s greatest actor Rajinikanth did
Shah Rukh, Salman Khan , Aamir khan should have tweeted...
But Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and Ram Charan did
Sanjay Leela Bhansali should have spoken… But S. S. Rajamouli did
Most embarrassing part?
Even Ranveer Singh’s wife Deepika Padukone hasn’t praised it yet
If you truly understand Bollywood…
you’ll understand this tweet
It’s still not too late…
"Time to wake up"
It’s easy to blame drivers in ghat sections “people don’t know how to drive a manual” and all that. But the reality is a bit different. Yes, experience and proper manual control matter, but a big part of the problem is the way ghat traffic moves.
In ghats, traffic often doesn’t behave like normal stop-and-go. It crawls continuously at an extremely slow speed. In that kind of movement, you can’t always do what you ideally should in a manual fully release the clutch in 1st gear and let the car roll. Because the gap keeps changing every second, the car almost “doesn’t allow” you to release the clutch fully, so you end up driving on a half-clutch just to keep the car moving smoothly.
That constant half-clutch creates extra load, heats up the clutch, and sometimes you can even notice the engine bay temperature rising. This happens even to experienced drivers.
What I try to do is simple: I build a little space in front of my car, then move forward a bit in one go, so I can fully release the clutch and let the car roll for a few seconds rather than constantly riding the clutch while creeping.
But the real frustration is this: the moment you create even a small gap, some people instantly squeeze into it. And that doesn’t help anyone reach faster in a ghat bottleneck. It just breaks the smooth flow, forces more half-clutch driving, and makes the whole situation worse for everyone.
That’s the point I’m trying to convey: in ghat traffic, clutch heating isn’t only about “bad driving” it’s often caused by continuous crawling traffic and people cutting into every small gap, which prevents smooth movement.
