Today, with partners from @USGS, @USFWS. @BasilSeggos announced a historic milestone in the recovery of Lake #Sturgeon in NY. In May 2021, crew from USGS netted a nearly 70lb spawning female lake sturgeon in the Genesee River – the first in more than 50 years.

It’s a wild turkey nest! Hens hide within brush, incubating the eggs for 28 days. Turkey poults are on the move in no time, ready to follow their mother within 2 days of hatching. Their small flock will join others creating bands of young turkeys accompanied by 2-3 adult hens.
