President @edmnangagwa’s most consequential policy is UNDOUBTEDLY the Issuance of Title Deeds to Beneficiaries of the Land Reform Program.

Mr Kuda Tagwirei heads the Land Tenure Implementation Committee (LTIC) & he was on @ZBCNewsonline’s Face the Nation program to give an in-depth insight into the process and its impact.

Here are key takeaways:

✅The LITC he heads DOES NOT allocate land, land is allocated by the Ministry of Agriculture.
✅The ONE Family ONE Farm policy will be adhered to & the Land Commission is there to ensure fairness and to handle Complaints.
✅The LTIC is not a ONE MAN COMMITTEE, it is a multi-stakeholder committee. The committee brings together Govt (Justice, Agric, Finance, Local Govt), Banks, War Veterans, Youths, Women etc to ensure the process satisfies every stakeholder.
✅The issuance of Title Deeds will generate more than US$13 billion. The money will be used for Infrastructure, Funding Agriculture, paying off other govt obligations etc.
✅Through the implementation of this scheme, massive wealth will be created. The huge asset base created means Zimbabwe’s Assets will immediately be greater than her Debts.
✅The Title Deeds will unlock CHEAP FINANCE for Farmers and thus boost agricultural production. Zim GDP will certainly skyrocket to about US$65 billion.
✅Banks won’t grab/seize farmers’ land. There are safeguards preventing them from doing so.
✅Farmers will be able to transfer the land to someone else if the need arises.
✅The LTIC’s major role is to ensure that a Farmer who has been allocated land by the Ministry of Agriculture is given the RIGHT Title Deed (by the Justice Ministry/Deeds Registry) for that piece of land.
Etc.

Listening to Mr Tagwirei speaking, one gets to see COMPETENCE in ACTION. We need more competent Zimbabweans to be appointed to key roles in govt. This was an excellent decision by President ED.
