The story of Umm Mahjan (أم محجن) peace be upon her is a powerful masterclass in true status.

She spent her days quietly cleaning the Masjid (mosque) of the Prophet (pbuh).

When she passed away at night, the companions buried her without informing the Prophet pbuh, not wanting to "bother" him.

Upon realizing she was gone, the Prophet (pbuh) was upset. He didn't see her work as minor; he saw it as a high honor. He went personally to her grave and performed the funeral prayer over her himself.
