We need to see things in context.

🇮🇳 India lost only one match in the 2019 World Cup (the semifinal).
🇮🇳 Only one match in the 2023 World Cup (the final).
🇮🇳 Not a single match in the last T20 World Cup.
Today they stand as #1 ranked team both in ODI and T20I
Meanwhile, 🇵🇰 Pakistan is ranked #8. From 2010 till now, our record against India hasn’t changed much, it’s the same story repeating. In fact, against the “big five” (India, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, England), Pakistan has lost 22 out of 26 matches in recent years.

Yet, every defeat sparks a storm of criticism from ex-players and fans.

The truth is: beating India once in 8-10 matches is an achievement in itself under the current circumstances. Why? Because India’s talent pool has exploded with the IPL and they enjoy stability, same board leadership, same coaches, same captain, year after year.

In Pakistan? Chairmen change almost every year, captains and coaches change 2–3 times annually. With this instability, how can you expect consistency?
Until we fix our system, stop over criticizing, and build long term stability, we’ll keep repeating history. Victories will remain one-off, while the gap with top teams will keep growing.
PS: Babar and Rizwan have been part of 16 of these 22 losses. This is a young team. Give them time, let consistency become a process, and improvement will follow.

Reports of extrajudicial abductions, political victimization, and transnational repression by the authoritarian regime in Pakistan continue to attract global attention. We urge the international community to respond to the military junta supported regime in Pakistan, which has come to power through an alleged massively rigged election. The U.S. House Resolution 901 ( H.Res.901 - Expressing support for democracy and human rights in Pakistan) calls for an independent inquiry into these elections. The current violent repression of unarmed protesters in Islamabad, along with the ongoing incarceration of former Prime Minister Imran Khan—who remains the most popular leader in the country—is unjustified. Officials in the Pakistani regime who are complicit in these acts of fascism must be held accountable. We call upon the Pakistani government to respect the human rights of its citizens.
