A few years ago, on the night of a #bloodmoon#LunarEclipse, I gleefully informed my three passengers of the forthcoming eclipse. One of them interpreted this as news of an imminent calamity. I had no choice but to amuse myself by becoming a #FalseProphet

In a 1973 Psychic Magazine interview, Ingo was asked about the idea that we shape our own futures.
The interviewer said: “Sounds like you’re referring to the age-old concept that we mold our own futures and that ‘As you think, so you are.’”
Ingo replied:
“That’s a good axiom; it always has been. It’s even more basic than ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’
I suppose one could rediscover the concept that mind is the builder and that one’s thoughts transcend time to mold and shape oneself and the future as one merges into it physically through linear time.
To me that’s the future.”

@lowmegatron It's basically impossible to inhale pure CO₂, as the vocal cords/larynx closes up when CO₂ levels are too high.
CO₂ baths seem to be more effective than CO₂ inhalation.

🔮 Did you know "psychics" were once called "sensitives"? Yet, psi research rarely explores sensitivity -- the ability to pick up subtle impressions, react to external forces, or shift with minute changes. It’s only hinted at in wild feats like telepathy or out-of-body experiences. Here’s the twist: what if psychic powers are just our raw sensitivity supercharged? 🐎These are the horses driving the paranormal cart, but we’ve been too busy dissecting the cart to notice. Are we missing the true source of these gifts? Drop your thoughts!👇 #PsychicMysteries #MindUnraveled

@EstateIngoSwann On my fourth day in the taxi the company's dispatching system crashed. I had to find my own passengers. After a circuitous drive I found a pair of architects who had a long trip. It turned out to be a good day.
The message I took away from that day was to trust my instincts.
Addiction thrives in isolation.
Left alone, the brain loops in secrecy: craving → indulgence → shame → craving again.
Community rituals break this loop because they do three things willpower alone never can:
Externalize accountability. When others witness your commitments, they become real.
Anchor identity. A ritual says: this is who we are, this is what we do.
Stabilize uncertainty. Recovery is chaotic; rituals give rhythm and predictability.
It’s not the ritual itself
Lighting a candle, reciting a creed, sharing a meal. It’s what it represents: continuity, belonging, a shared story bigger than the addict’s private struggle.
Find where you belong and embrace community
Sports, Music, art, technology, Religion, Martial arts
Anything that gives you a sense of belonging and creates new rituals that rewire old addictive loops
and more importantly moves you away from isolation

@CynicalPublius A core science-mistake was Oliver Heaviside's simplification of Maxwell's Equations.
James Clerk Maxwell originally described electricity with 20 equations and 20 unknowns. Heaviside's restatements made electricity accessible to engineers, but much was lost in the translation.

Mallard ducks continually reinfect farms with mild H5N1 bird flu. Paying farmers to kill healthy flocks is driving up price of eggs, creating egg shortages. Agriculture policy should shift to allow natural immunity, increase the egg supply, and quell the outbreak. @RealDrGina@RealAmVoice@McCulloughFund@twc_health@USDAFoodSafety@USDA@elonmusk@realDonaldTrump@DOGE
@Alicia_Bittle_ I had a passenger going to the hospital to have labor induced, on account of her high blood pressure. Her pregnancy diet consisted of saltine crackers. "Didn't your doctor tell you that you need more than crackers for a healthy pregnancy?"

@EstateIngoSwann Sometimes I had the sense that I had 'appointments'. One fare led to the next, until I met someone or learned something. My job, as it were, was being in the right place at the right time to make my connections.
As a general rule of thumb, one “sees” only what one focuses on, or wants to focus on, and all else disappears into “invisibility.”

@JenniferSey At some point medicine became a wealth transfer scheme.
Today 'healthcare' happily pays for marginally-effective interventions (ex: chemotherapy) before providing things that people actually need (home assistance, meal delivery, rides, etc).

@ianmSC If the lessons of 2020 were distilled into a book, it would be titled "101 Covert Ways to Finish Off Grandma: Kind Ways to Finish Off Elders Who Just Won't Die".
@RobSchneider If someone would only tell the people, "this is how you can avoid being accidentally euthanised by the medical profession", there'd be no need to have any more pandemics of bad medicine in the future.
@Outdoctrination One of my passengers alluded to the specific techniques that are certainly used to indoctrinate student doctors. It's not as overt as your comic suggests. That doctor's predicament echos though my mind whenever I think of the predicaments of doctors and patients.
@ZubyMusic Some people are still wearing masks to protect themselves from The Deadliest Virus Of All Time, not realizing masks were only required so that people would know "We're In The Midst Of A Very Serious Pandemic."
I pitty those who are still masking: https://t.co/7QOCCVYQid
The judge in a major, 2-month long trial in federal court announced this morning that a juror would be released after contracting COVID. There's 60 people in the courtroom and me and another juror are the only people wearing masks 🤪
