@lynchk16 2A: SIGs influence the judiciary by submitting amicus curiae briefs with persuasive legal arguments in favor of their cause. I'm going to UT Austin cuz I dig engineering! 🐂😁

@xxshreya @lynchk16 I think majoring in poli sci is a great idea. Come to UT or I might have withdrawal symptoms from the fun u bring ;((

@AyubRizvee @lynchk16 I also agree that policy makers have the greatest impact on society since they are the ones detailing a resolution to public concerns. #lynchapgovmob#lynchapgovtwitterchat
@lynchk16 2A: Iron Triangles link IG's, Congress, and the Bureaucracy. IG's lobby issues, Cong implements changes, Bureau enforces it. I believe Congress is the strongest in that it details what change will arise & sets the budget for the bureau.

@nickyerva @lynchk16 I agree with the fact that money is a freedom protected by the 1st Amendment but when it comes to a conglomerate, such freedoms should be partially regulated to avoid stripping power from the people. SIGs can be stronger than constituents #lynchapgovmob#lynchapgovtwitterchat
@lynchk16 2A: SIGs buy political influence thru helping candidates fund their campaigns. SIGs should be regulated more strictly to avoid taking power away from the hands of a campaigner's constituents

@RachelGuo18 @lynchk16 2A: I agree with you Rachel. Having been trained in the world of politics, it would be a waste for former congressmen to take a career outside of politics. Lobbyist positions allow them to keep being involved in the political world.

@lynchk16 2A: The revolving door is when former congressmen become lobbyists for their cause. Congressmen are effective lobbyists for their Interest Group. I think that the revolving door is ethical since it allows for professional leadership.

@lynchk16 2A: Lobbyists are ppl who persuade congressmen to support their cause. I believe that lobbying is well-regulated because in order to get officials to support them, they need the public to support them. We see their rhetoric/information first. #lynchapgovmob#lynchapgovtwitterchat
@KyleSlack15 @lynchk16 I agree that lobbying is decently well-regulated because we often see lobbyists' strongest arguments first before the politicians. In a way, we regulate them before they reach our congressmen by lending attention to the interest group or not.
#3PAPEspañol
